Great drumhead
I got this drumhead paired with the EMAD resonant head. At first I thought the sound was a bit boomy, even with the damping rings (it comes with two different sized rings). Then I put a small blanket/towel inside, barely resting it on the beater head. Now it's punchier, but still every bit as loud as it was before. Definitely a good head for those who like short, punchy kick sounds.

Excellent sound
Bought this for my husband. He had purchased a 5-piece drum kit. The bass drum head sounded so bad. He had heard that this Evans head had good sound quality, and he had me order one. We put it on before service. It made so much difference in the sound. It was like daylight and dark. I sit in the back and couldn't believe the difference. We are both really happy about purchasing this and will definitely keep this in mind when he needs heads in the future.

Great choice for your bass drum
These are great bass drum heads. I like the fact that it comes with two different damping rings. You can choose from no ring, (though the ring holder is built into the head) a thin ring, and a thick ring to control the amount of resonance you want. I am using this on my resonant side for the same reason. No more having to stuff the bass drum with a pillow or blanket.

I placed this EMAD head on a vintage 3 ply Ludwig 22" kick drum. It tunes quite easily and has a great combination of punch & low end boom. EMAD II would have been too dead. This was the perfect combination. I play mostly funk & soul music.

Works well, doesn't dampen reverb as well as expected.
Works well, fits perfectly. Reverberation is still a problem even with the dampeners installed. Better dig out the pillow and put it back in the drum.....

Cette peau est de qualité Premium, elle sonne parfaitement. Le prix est certes plus cher que d'autres peau. Toutefois, il faut prendre en compte que le Package comprend un Patch de protection de peau (vendu de 6 à 10€ à l'unité) ainsi que 2 anneaux en mousse pour l'atténuateur de résonnance. Personnellement j'ai mis le plus gros atténuateur sur ma 22" Tama Royalstar et elle n'a jamais sonné aussi bien ! j'ai même enlevé la serviette à l'intérieur de la grosse caisse. Pour finir je précise que ma peau de résonnance est une Aquarian Regulator.

Great replacement batter head, has served me well. Easy to tune and is pretty consistent under tension. I play metal so a lot of double bass giving the skin a good workout and it has lasted really well.

Si quieres mantener un sonido natural, controlando los armónicos, con textura e incluso un punto vintage, y los necesitas en especial para directos o estudio, (aquellos momentos en los que vas a amplificar la batería a través de micrófonos) estos son tus parches. Dentro del mercado estos son los que mejores referencias tienen y no es mentira. va a ser la mejor compra en parches que vas a hacer nunca. (llevo más de 20 años como batería a mis espaldas, se de lo que hablo).
