500G Calibration Weight for Scale Digital Pocket Scales

Although this stainless steel calibration weight for scales functions perfectly, it may have blemishes on the surface. The calibration weight that I received has a very noticeable blemish in the center of the top circle, which is precisely where "500g" is engraved by the manufacturer. This blemish makes it slightly more difficult for me to read, "500g," because it is a noticeable distraction. Blemishes, if any, on other areas of this calibration weight would not be a serious problem.

The product looks as pictured and read 500.0 grams on a quality lab scale i have access to. If i ever get access to a quality scale that's more precise, I'll share those results.For your ten bucks, you get the weight and that's it. No box, no case. Literally as pictured :)Since the overall product seems to be doing the job and is at a great price, i'm happy to give 5 stars.

I hope it is correct. I suspected my scale was off, because of returned mail. This weight said, not. sooo...

I was unable to calibrate my scale. I kept getting a reading that was just under 500G. In all fairness, it could have been my scale. However, I wouldn't recommend this particular weight. Perhaps, one should visit a jeweler, assuming they sell calibration weights. Good luck.

All it would need for a 5 would be a calibration certificate or sheet. Nicely finished and corrosion resistant.

Love is not a word I would choose for a calibration scale. It does the job

It looks pretty and shiny and handy for calibrating scales. But without a lab scale how can you tell if its weight is accurate.

Well, I think it weighs 500g but I only had one scale to test it on. I used it to calibrate my scale, so I am making a big assumption about weight... who decides this stuff anyway?
