Very cool game for anyone with an interest in Farms
I got this for my 8 year old son who doesn't have a huge interest in the lego/superhero/skylanger type games. We live in a rural town with lots of farms and horses and I thought this sounded like a good game to try. My son LOVES it.It is very open ended so you can really do whatever you want to with your farm - but there is a lot of trial and error and I think a decent learning curve to how to manage your fields, take care of your animals, make $$ . We are still learning so much! I do a lot of searches online to figure out how to do certain things (how to milk the cows, how to feed them, how to collect chicken eggs) so for someone older it may be easier.Overall a great game that really gets him thinking about how to manage money and run a business.

Divorce Simulator?
In other words, this game is addicting! Fortunately I'm not married yet or my wife would be thinking I love this game more then her. Fortunately, I have a very understanding girlfriend who loves to read and allowed me to play this for hours upon hours over the weekend, or I'd probably be single right now. I guess that wouldn't be all that terrible though because that would mean more time to play! But really, this game is a blast. It's very easy to understand in a short period of time, there's always something to do to make money while your crops are growing and its fun to plan ahead and strategize your money and next move(s) to keep everything running like clock work. Highly recommended. Graphics are good enough and hopefully they make another one next year and keep improving on it. P.S. Buy a good mower early.

Brillient game
I bought this game for my brother and I and we absolutely love it. The game has great graphics and range of tasks, machines and implements to use. The main downsides that we found is that there is only a very limited number of crops to plant and harvest being grass, wheat, barley, corn and canola. the other downside was that there are no John Deere tractors. Despite this it is a brilliant game and a load of fun but be cautious, you will soon be addicted.

Farm from your couch
Great game for kids 8-10 and adults. As a lot of the other reviews have pointed out there are some limits in the simulation, but remember that its a simulation. There are tons of farm chores you don't want to do. This game is mainly about driving large machines in different combinations managing the cash flow of the farm and trying coordinate your work in different areas of the map. There seems to be a huge amount of modding for the PC version. The tractor makes are not typically seen in the USA other than Case. You can raise money by buying a lot of bee hives or some other structures and just leaving the game running overnight. Use a wired controller or the game will stop running.

fun and semi realistic
there is a couple things that are not very realistic but how can one make a game that is 100% realistic, i find the game very fun and it takes strategy to make your farm grow. i have played countless hours and yet still play it. and i have bought the game for 3 friends, for gifts, that enjoyed it as well. only thing that would make it better is if it were an online game like the computer version. highly recommend for people that are into farming

This Game Sucks & It's A Ripoff!
First, let me start off by saying that I own both the console & PC versions! Now, with that out of the way, I must say I love the PC version of this game so why do I hate the Console (Xbox 360/PS3) versions?1. No Online Multiplayer (this is one of the best parts of the game and it's been stripped out!) How the hell can you develop a console version of this game when the PC version has online multiplayer content and then strip it out of the console versions! Are you insane, greedy, or just lazy? It's not like they didn't have the space needed ... the game is less than 500MB!2. Limited Mods (... this is the best aspect about this game ... highly customizable!) There are certain Mods that needed to be included with the game but the biggest one is the ES Limiter and Fast Forward mod! Being able to adjust the speed of the vehicle to track a combine or harvester is a must! The Fast Forward mod speeds up the gameplay so your not just waiting around for crops to grow (120x is still fairly slow)! The Ursus & Classic Tractors DLC is nice but leaves much to be desired. How about additional maps? Try cleaning out a silo bunker at the BioGas Plant with the stock front unloader in the game then you understand how mind numbing the game can be!3. Equipment Purchases Limited ... what's the point in making all that money if you can't buy as much equipment as you want or need? This aspect of the game totally ruins the experience and one of the sole reasons I hate the console versions so much! You are constantly forced to sell and buy because of the "Available Slots" limit! When your forced to sell equipment your losing money and the more expensive the equipment the bigger the loss. Here's the kicker, you can't own all the equipment needed to complete all aspects of the game at once! This also kills any chance of the player being able to earn cash via bee houses, solar, wind, etc. because you just won't have the available slots once equipment is purchased! Whoever came up with concept is an idiot! They should've stripped the equipment buildings out of the game while they were at it since they really don't serve any purpose unlike the PC version!4. Hirable Worker AI ... again ... limited to 3. I can live with this since equipment ownership is severely limited in the console versions.5. Minor complaint ... placable items like bee houses, greenhouses, solar panels, wind generators .... the values they earn you are double compared to the PC version but since you won't have the "Available Slots" to own them anyway .... what's the point right?Good points ... controller setup (beats using a keyboard but this can be remedied by using a Xbox 360 controller for PC) and it loads quicker but that's only because it's been stripped down and has no Mods or extra Maps to load! Fairly realistic and graphics are excellent (which is also why the game suffers from slowdown on occasion depending on how the camera is pointed) ... being an actual dairy farmer I know a little something about real farming =)Final Conclusion .... steer clear of this overpriced, extremely limited, stripped down, piece of garbage! The PC version of this game is the way to go without a shadow of a doubt! If you happen to like this version of the game then your going to be blown away by the PC version!UPDATE----------Found a few glitches in the game. When loading Kuhn mixer wagon with bales, sometimes loading tractor will literally shoot off the map like a rocket and respawn back at main farm once it lands. Bale fork attachment can end up anywhere so happy hunting or manually reset item back to main farm! Sometimes it just flat crashes the game!BGA silo bunker #3 on Hagenstedt map won't trigger for dumping chaff into so only 3 out of 4 bunkers are usable!Nice to see so much testing went into these versions of the game (obvious glitches) :P

Great Game
~ David ~This is a pretty awesome Simulator game. You can operate many size tractors, few different Harvesters (combines), even a tractor Trailer to transport grain to the Co-ops.This is a very time consuming game to play, fields take time to plow, seed & harvest. This is a boring but yet addicting game lol.Game as a American & a European map, Both with Plenty of fields to harvest. Its a great game for those that love farming and or sim games. I do recommend it
