Flap Happy Baby Girls' UPF 50+ Floppy Hat

I like this hat that I purchased for my 4 year old daughter. It looks really cute on. However, it was for our beach vacation and it didn't work well for that purpose because it was really windy. It kept blowing up in the front so it wasn't protecting her face from a sunburn. It would offer great sun protection in a location that is not windy. It seems the only hat that would offer sun protection in windy weather is one with a baseball type front that is stiff. Some kids had these with the fabric hanging down on the sides and back but unfortunately they are not nearly as attractive.

I purchased this hat prior to our vacation in Mexico based on many reviews. My daughter is almost 2 years old and keeping most hats on her is a challenge. For some reason, she kept this hat on for long periods of time (hours). I'm thinking it is because it ties under her chin instead of the strap with velcro type fastener. I love that it is light weight, her head doesn't get hot and sweaty but it protects her head, face and back of neck from sun. The white got a little dirty but we found that it washes out easily in the sink (dries fast too).So, this was and continues to be a great purchase. Not only is it functional, it looks adorable!

I rarely write customer reviews, but I wanted to say how absolutely perfect this hat has been for the summer for our baby. It's broad enough to shade her face with enough support in the brim so that we can both see her face and she can see out.It's perfect! Already buying one for next summer too!

Living in AZ it is essential that our kids have full coverage hats- this is definitely a floppy hat. My 1 year old plays just fine with it on, but it does hang down around her face some. I like that it is a tie hat v. velcro so she can't take it off as easily. It is light weight so doesn't make her head too hot. Sizing seemed accurate. Even with some room to grow it fits just fine.

I was not sure about the size of the hat when I ordered it, but it was too small for my daughter's head (she is a 2.5 year old tot) with a oval shaped head.

nice hat, but the long strings are a choking hazard and I'm scared to put it on my 6 month old!

The hat is cute, but it's way too small. I got the XL for my 2 year old and it looks ridiculous because it's so small. The floppy part is cute and would be big enough, but I can't fit her head in it. It looks like it's the size a 6-12 month old might wear. Ridiculous sizing!

We got the size small and my daughter wore it all last summer. It shaded her well and she looked so cute in it! This summer (she is 1 now) we will be getting a large!My reason for not giving this product 5 stars would be the long strings.. We never tied them as I felt they were a dangerous and I thought about cutting them to make them shorter but never got around to it so they just dangled! They were really long. I know my one year old will just tug at them, and I worry about it being tied around her neck so I will be shortening them and sewing on Velcro.
