My daughter LOVES these. Who knew? Such simple boxes. But they're actually really sturdy. My kids are rough and these are still in great shape. They're great for pretend play in the kitchen, but mine also like to tower them up and knock them down. LOL! They come all flattened, and you have to put them together. It's a bit hard, because the boxes are so sturdy. But I was fine with this. Another great buy from Melissa and Doug.

These boxes of food are very sturdy and should survive my very rough play grandson. He loves the great variety of breakfast foods, lunch, dinner, snacks and deserts. The only thing I wish was different is that the boxes of food are full size and I think it would be better if they were smaller and took up less storage room. Also they would match the rest of his play food which is all smaller than real life size.

I bought these boxed "groceries" for my daughter (22mo) as an early Christmas gift. She was so thrilled to play with these because they look like the real thing. She uses these with her shopping cart and enjoys pretending to shop like mommy. These are high quality cardboard box toys and if wet or used too rough, they will break. They are meant for children that are old enough to not put them in their mouths. Really great and realistic toy groceries.

Smiling grand daughter does give you a heart-of-shinning gold :) She looked at grandmomma {me} and gave me the biggest smile this earth has ever seen :) She then gave me this box and said --- ''Shop with just me grand momma'' and we did just that :) Thank You for keeping our kids --kids for just a little bit longer :) Her momma and papa were in love with this whole box also --In the way one can teach a child to learn their --ABC-- just from shopping with these boxes :) All is grand :)

I like this toy. My son was thrilled with the boxes. For the price at around 10 dollars I would probably wait until it goes on sale. The boxes are pretty durable, but I put styrofoam in the boxes to keep them from collapsing and i closed it with packaging tape. Otherwise no issues

Was a little suprised that these were just flat boxes that you have to fold yourself but probably didn't read the description well enough. No big deal however, and they are a fun addition to our grocery store play!

I was hoping that these food boxes would be like most other Melissa and Doug products and they would be solid wood boxes. These were much more heavy duty than most "food boxes" but not what I expected. They were also real sized boxes. So most won't fit in my daughters play kitchen.
