HERE STARTS THE WALL OF TEXT This is a great anti-odorant (not deodorant, not anti-antiperspirant, this is preventative stuff here!) once you learn to use it. I highly recommend it to people with bad body odor. I tend to sweat a lot and it can smell pretty bad IMO, but when using this I could probably go two days without smelling! That's impressive considering I can start to smell just twenty minutes out of the shower. (No I do not live in a super hot climate, I'm just special that way.) So from what I've learned, once you hop out of the shower and dry off, hit up both of your pits with this spray and hit them good. It will feel wet, but will dry off quick enough (don't have to wait to dry before putting on your shirt). Now, put on your undershirt (or whatever shirt will be directly against your pits) and give your pits another hit. At this point both your pit and the shirt in your pit will be moist. The goal of this is to get the active ingredient (read as salt) where you sweat so that bacteria cant have a festival of stench.(Nobody likes this kinda festival) That was the biggest thing I learned while using this, even though I sprayed my pits well, I would end up smelling. However when taking off my shirt I started to realize it was my shirt that carried the stench and not me. Thus, spray the shirt too! Anyhow, I hope this helps people. I wont ever go back to that other slimy / waxy deodorant / anti-antiperspirant with perfumes. Things to note: - This prevents the bacteria from getting out of hand and multiplying, so if you already stink, spraying this on will only prevent additional stink. Take a shower! - Try to dry the water from your pits before spraying this. - This works in other areas that sweat and smell, if I'm going to sweat a lot I'll sometimes hit my chest too - Don't be afraid to really spray it on there when you're first trying this out. Once you see the results you'll then start to try to hone in how much you really need. Basically, prevent having a bad experience by trying to cheap out with two spritz. - It's in a purple spray bottle that does not look very manly, you may have to compensate elsewhere. While pregnant with my last baby, I came across an article about toxins in breastmilk. The article speculated the greatest amount of toxins had come from the mother's deodorant/antiperspirant products! Horrified, I did some more research and was shocked at what I found- my husband and I knew we would need to change and get away from our traditional store-bought antiperspirants. I shopped around on Amazon and read reviews, and what I read was essentially a mix. Most, it seemed, loved the idea of a toxic-free product, but couldn't get the odor control they craved. I figured I would just do what a few of the reviewers suggested (one review said that reapplying mid-day was helpful, one review mentioned spraying once after a shower and once a few minutes later) and live with mild odor. The way I figured, odor was less important than not-poisoning my baby! When the product arrived I was pleased with the amount- a pack of six good-sized sprays was handy! I tossed one in my labor bag, and had a few in our drawers. I was in the third trimester, and SUPER sweaty, and mentally prepped for the worst (to be a nasty smelling lady!!). I was SO pleased to find that this product worked REALLY well!!! I can count, on my hand, the number of times where I had a faint odor- not bad for a hot and humid summer while pregnant! After the baby was born I was unsure if it would work as well, as my body chemistry changed, but it did! I had a few nights where I would smell a bit, but those were during a week of postpartum night-sweats, and I haven't had an issue since. I am not the only one in our home with success. My husband has NEVER had an odor problem while using the Crystal Body Spray! My husband spent the summer working hard on the family farm- he would be outside working in over 100 degree heat, and he NEVER smelled bad at all. It took a week to get used to not feeling "dry" all the time, but the lack of clothing stains, the lack of toxins, and the fact that this product keeps odor away, makes it all worth it! We use the product just after toweling off from the shower, and we have not had any complaints!

Wow, I truly am amazed by what a deal this purchase was! I love this deodorant as is, so when I saw the price for that many I had to jump on it and stock up! The Crystal spray truly does work amazingly well. Surprisingly it doesn't even sting that much when I apply it to my underarms immediately after shaving (usually, lol). I love that you can also spray it in shoes, on your flip flops (wash them first obviously), and then there is my personal favorite use... which is to spray it directly onto clothing, such as the inside of the underarms of shirts or around the sides of your bra. It doesn't stain fabric and leaves zero residue or scent, but leaves you extra protected... especially with those annoyingly tight t-shirt sleeves us chicks are forced to wear. ;) I keep one of these in my purse just for a touch up should the need ever arise. I know a lot of people will say that it's only effective if you apply it BEFORE any sweat/odor has occurred, and while to an extent that is true, I personally find that it does also help significantly if you find yourself unable to wash up and just do a "cover up" spritz. It's still technically killing some of the odor causing bacteria so it will definitely still have a positive odor reducing effect, just not quite to the same extent as applying it prior to the bacteria showing up. On a side note, when I'm not doing much I try to use only this product because it's safe and healthy, but if I have an important occasion such as a date and I want to be extra safe, I'll apply the run of the mill bad-for-you antiperspirant/deodorant and then generously spritz some of the Crystal spray over top of it, as well as on any clothing that will be touching my underarm area. Let me tell you, the combo works GREAT. (Not that I'm endorsing the unhealthy deodorant use, but just sayin!) If you already happen to use the less than healthy kind and want to pack an extra odor fighting punch, you can't beat adding this Crystal spray to the mix. Did I mention that I love this stuff? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I never want to be without this product and at this fantastic price you truly can't do any better!

This has been a great alternative to using antiperspirants and deodorants. I have tried other "natural" deodorants, and they are just slimy, waxy or starchy, and they end up making me stink, sweat and just feel gross. Crystal deodorant has been my best option. Although this does not stop the perspiration, after time, it does lessen the amount you do sweat. I love crystal deodorants now. It took a bit of a learning curve and detox period! (remember, if you are using the antiperspirant and then going into natural, your body will detox from all the junk you've been putting into it...as even your antiperspirant/deodorant DOES absorb through the skin) Personally, I like using the harder natural crystal "roll on" after a shower, while I am still wet. I allow this to dry. Then I use the spray crystal deodorant. Actually, I do add in a few drops of essential oils (usually lavender & bergamot) into a new bottle and shake it up first. This creates a nice natural relaxing scent along with additional antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. I found this to work best for me, and it usually works for the entire day. As others have mentioned, do not be skimpy on application. Sometimes, I do apply the crystal spray twice a day. I make sure I spray my armpits and the entire underside of my arms up to 4" above and below the armpits, and then I sort of rub my arms against my skin to help it dry. I do lightly pat myself dry with a towel after. Even during heavy workouts and intense sweating, I do not stink! =) Another thing I have noticed with switching to natural crystal deodorants, my clothing does not get stained. I love also that this deodorant is safe for using anywhere you sweat. I also use this under the girls, and it surprisingly prevents them from sweating as much. When I don't use a crystal rock first, I have used vodka instead by just applying a small amount under the arms, rubbing it in first, and then add the crystal spray. It works great too.

I love this deodorant. I've had some issues with the sprayer not working properly, but, other than that it works great. What people don't realize when using this is, you need to spray your clothes as well as your armpits. It does control odor wonderfully for me, but, if I don't spray my clothes in the armpits as well my clothes, there will be the smelly bacteria smell that causes the odor on your clothes. This is not an antiperspirant, it's just a deodorant. If you know that, you'll love it as well, especially, when you figure out the best way to use it.

The below bottom review is my original review -- however, now, 2 months later, I have to report this: After 4 months of use of this until last week excellent product, I, all of a sudden, developed an itchy reddish rash, having already noticed skin bumps the week prior. AND I just tried to return at least the five unopened and untouched bottles but learned that this item is "non returnable." I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the Crystal Body Deodorant product, the firm, and Amazon! Here, my initial review -- scrap it! I "inherited" a bottle of this Crystal Body Deodorant Spray from a neighbor's friend who flew back home to Virginia and, I guess, didn't want to deal with air travel regulations. My regular deodorant is Old Spice Pure Sport Performance. It is now summer, and it can get very hot in SoCal, AND I have very powerful sweat glands. I noticed that the Old Spice lasted as a "smell barrier" may be for an hour or two, but then I would smell myself in an unpleasant way. 2 weeks ago I rediscovered this Crystal product in a closet where I had placed it and decided to give it a shot. WOW!!!!!!! I had no clue! This stuff is amazing! Even 24 hrs later, i.e. the next morning, upon waking up, I smell NOTHING from my armpits! I was in a state of shock, since, if I recall correctly, I stumbled upon it some 10 years ago at a Wholefoods store when I did "research" into deodorants and antiperspirants that (1) do not contain aluminum, (2) do not contain any other harmful chemicals and (3) don't color my white t-shirts -- but I disregarded it thinking that it was overpriced and ineffective other than for well-heeled Wholefoods customers who spend their entire day in air-conditioned cars, offices and houses. Boy, was I wrong. It is powerful AND at 6 bottles for 18 bucks LESS EXPENSIVE than my Old Spice!

I have been using this spray deodorant for a few years and fell in love with it over time. I was tired of the mess that other branded deodorants left behind (residue on clothes, messy application, underarm staining on white tops, and difficult to remove in the shower). And I was also becoming aware of all the chemicals they included and that your skin is the perfect gateway for toxic chemicals to enter your body. After some research I found Crystal Mineral Deodorant Spray. When I first started to use it I thought this stuff was a waste of time. I was getting stinky just shortly after application and needed to reapply. Being used to the one-time-application of the other deodorants, I was annoyed by this. I soon realized that I needed to give my body some time to adjust and expel the years of deodorant that was left behind in the skin under my arm. After so many years of applying the traditional deodorant, it had built up in my pores. The slight residue that was left behind after each use was now semi-permanently absorbed into my skin (underarm). The traditional deodorant is made to stay on your skin and this is why it is so hard to wash off. Applying each day did not give the body enough time to push it out of the skin before another application was applied, causing build up. So, for a few weeks of using this Crystal Mineral Deodorant I would pretty stinky as I let my body clear itself of the years of previously applying traditional deodorant. I also had to get used to the perspiration because Crystal Mineral Deodorant is NOT AND ANTI-PERSPERANT but once your body becomes accustom to this natural spray, the perspiration lessens (if you think about it, the perspiration is also helping to clearing out the clogged pores of the previous deodorant use). I know it sounds ridiculous but this has been very true for me and I think it will be for you too. After years of use I no longer have build of traditional deodorant clogging my pores, I no longer have yellow stains on my white tops (its the deodorant that stains, not the sweat), washing my underarms no longer requires extra soap or scrubbing to remove the days deodorant residue, no white marks on my dark tops, and I feel more natural because my pores in the skin of my underarm are not clogged. The most remarkable thing I noticed was that I had more of "sweat scent" when I was not wearing any deodorant (at night after a shower, or just days off at home, or swimming, etc.) during my traditional deodorant times then I do now using Crystal Mineral Deodorant and I believe that is because my pores are not clogged, my body isn't trying to unclog them of dec residue. Anyway, this stuff is great, it just needs time to work if you are transitioning from a traditional branded deodorant. Oh, it also needs to be applied a few times a day depending on your activities. Remember its natural and doesn't have any agents/chemicals into that make it stay applied to your skin so over time you will "sweat" it off. Sometimes I add essential oils to give it some fragrance such as lavender or juniper berry or even tea tree oil. Also, it can be applied all over the body. I do this often when I have a cardio day at the gym *wink*.
