The Best-Dressed Knitted Bear: Dozens of Patterns for Teddy Bears, Bear Costumes, and Accessories Paperback – Bargain Price, May 5, 2009

I would have given this 5 stars, if not for the errors in the book. They're easy enough for someone who's been knitting for a while to see and correct, but could be frustrating for a beginner. I also wish the outfits had included instructions to make them fit all three sizes of bear. You *can* improvise with yarn weights and needle sizes, but it would have been nice to have different stitch counts to size them up.That said, I do really enjoy this book and am glad i bought it. It is FULL of patterns for different sizes and difficulties of bear patterns. That and the number (and cuteness!) of the outfit patterns make the book a great buy. Even the non-knitters I know have enjoyed flipping through the book and looking at the pictures.

Very cute bears and bear clothing. There are three sizes of bears and clothing to knit for them. The patterns are written for knitting on straight needles. Many could be easily knit in the round to avoid all the seams. Also, the clothing patterns are written only for one size bear. You must adapt them yourself if for instance you want the ballerina costume for the large bear.My daughters will be getting these bears under the Christmas tree this year.

Really love this book! The bears seem easy to make and so many lovely outfits to make. Can't wait to make some for my granddaughters.

I have been having so much fun knitting projects from this book that I forgot to review it! There are bears for various skill levels, from a simple bear that even a novice could make, up to fairly complex creations requiring more skill and patience. The clothes are cute and easy to make. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to knit bears and their clothes.

Love this book for the ideas and fun knitting.There are a few mistakes in the book, so I would suggest a new knitter be careful.The bears are darling. I have made 3 bears, given them to my granddaughters, and daughter in law,and they are cute. It is fun to use the patterns and make clothes you like. I made the cheerleader in theKansas Chief's colors and it worked out well.Have fun

I simply can't wait to knit up my first bear! I'm making the first one for my niece. I've got time to make it since her bday is not until July. =) I will add more to my review once I make my first bear!!

I love the bears and clothes! I'm still planning my first project, but I see the work that went into the book. There are bears for beginners and bears for experienced knitters. And there are so many outfits for my grandchildren to play with! Each outfit is well thought out also.

Pattern easy to follow, mine looks more like a cat and utilised plastic eyes and nose as my sewing leaves a lot to be desired!

Had enough varied sizes and types of garments to fit most teddy styles .Really happy to own this resource now!

The bears are sooo cute. The bears are really simple to knit up and the instructions for the clothes are very clear. Would recommend
