Excellent new studio disc by this outstanding, blues/rock guitarist from Germany which includes 11 tracks of superb, dynamic, soul-powered, blues-based, retro-70's, vintage guitar rock mojo of world-class proportions. Henrik Freischlader is the real deal. A true, legit guitar hero for modern times. Featuring Special Guest + Axemaster Supreme JOE BONAMASSA landing on the title track & lending his six string skills for some serious dual heavy guitar jamming. Highly recommended to world-wide fans of HENDRIX, TROWER, RORY GALLAGHER, SRV, CLAPTON, JOE BONAMASSA, DOYLE BRAMHALL II & GARY MOORE.

I only discovered this guy about a year ago but this album made me a huge fan. Amazing player, singer and songwriter. He's got his own blazing guitar stylebut he also weaves in a few songs that remind me of Doyle Bramhall II. This is my new favorite album and it's in heavy, heavy rotation. You won't be disappointed.Very solid songs and just different enough to be the kind of record you listen to over and over until all the songs have grown on you. Longer Days rocks. Memory OfOur Love is an amazing slow blues blazer. Look At The Fool is also a great, great song but in a category all it's own. Buy it. There are some incredible videos of himon youtube also worth checking out.

disapointed again
I have now attempted to get this CD Still Frame Replay through Amazon on three separate occasions. Each time I have received a Freischlader CD which was appropriately labeled as Still Frame Replay, however, each time the actual music was from his 2006 CD The Blues. I previously wrote about this issue on this post, however, Amazon deleted it from the reviews, as I advised not to purchase this CD until they addressed this issue. The same problem continues to occur and I would not purchase this particular CD until Amazon ensures that they have resolved this problem. Freischlader is a great musician, and does some really exciting stuff, but buyer beware.

doesn't get any better
I can only echo the other reviewers.....this is rocking blues at it's very best.....if there is a better combination of VOCALS / SONGS and flat out blazing guitar out there, I've not heard it. I've got about 3000 cd's and have a huge collection of fairly obscure BLUESMAN and GUITARISTS and he is one of the very best amongst all his peers. If you like BLUES or the GUITAR, you need to get everything FREISCHLADER. He could easily be the benchmark by which all others need to be measured

Germanic Mayhem
When you open an album with a title track as strong as 'Still Frame Replay' that features a truly searing contribution from a certain Joe Bonamassa then I think you know you are on to a winner! Thus far this is one of my albums, not just Blues albums of 2012, it is really that good. Still Frame Relay as an album is low down hard driven blues and a showcase for an exceptional talent. The guitar playing, Bonamassa aside is awesome and at times, strange as it may seem, vocally Mr Freischlader reminds me of John Mayer. No bad combinzation in anyone's books.Agressive, sparse, tight, challenging and rewarding. If you really do like guitar driven Blues Rock this is an essential addition to your collection!
