Pretty Awesome, for Chem Students
The set was nicely packaged and had all the pieces according to the sheet inside. The pieces are hard to put together at first and will hurt your hands but I imagine that this will not be a problem once I break them in. I am going to use this for organic chemistry but it can also be used for general chemistry. It is not necessary for those classes but can be a great tool to succeed in those classes! I cannot wait to play with it more, you definitely get what you pay for!

The price was perfect and I was able to practice all the compounds ...
This set was exactly what I was looking for!! My Organic Chemistry Professor had told us in the beginning of the semester that we needed to be familiar with the model set and needed to be able to create a compound if asked. Since that was not our main focus and their were model sets in lab that we occasionally used I did not stress buying a set. I was also told that the prices ranged from $60-$100 dollars which was not ideal considering that it was not essential for the class. Before the semester ended I decided that I should probably buy my own set to practice for the lab final since it had been awhile since we used them in lab and there was no other way to practice before (usually not such a procrastinator). I ordered the kit the weekend before the lab final and it came right on time with 2-day shipping!! The price was perfect and I was able to practice all the compounds that we built in lab! I used it twice, there was one model building exercise on my lab final, and its been in my closet since until needed again! Great buy, no regrets!!!

Great kit for a good price
This is a helpful, well-put-together kit for organic chemistry students. Anyone who is having trouble visualizing molecules in three dimensions can benefit greatly from it. I took the advice of other reviewers and lubricated the holes of the molecule pieces with baby oil before using them, and I could not be happier with their ease of use. The kit comes with short, long, and flexible bonds. Short bonds are difficult to get out of the holes, but the kit comes with a handy plastic tool to get these out. I counted up all the parts in the box to make sure I had everything, and actually discovered that on top of every molecule being in order, a few extras of each bond had been included; I'm not complaining about that! As for what the kit can be used for, I rely on it for chirality, which I have a lot of trouble visualizing; my professor luckily lets us take a small model into exams for that purpose. It can also be used to build the chair and boat conformations of cyclohexane, which are difficult to picture when seen on paper. A friend of mine has already borrowed it because he was having trouble with cis- and trans- visualization. Molecules can easily be manipulated to simulate ring-flips when looking at cyclo-molecules. Besides that, I'm sure there are various other uses for the kit; I'll try to update at the end of the semester to detail what else I've used it for. Really, the only thing to consider when buying is whether you'll need more molecules. If you need to build bigger, more complex carbon-ring structures, you might need a bigger kit, as there are only 12 carbons included in this one. One last thing. There are a lot of people complaining about the price of this kit, but it's a lot more reasonable than a lot of model kits out there. For reference, a certain textbook brand is selling a kit, also on Amazon, that's remarkably similar to this one in content, with the same types of bonds and almost the same numbers of molecules... only it's $62.87. So honestly, while it is overpriced for a bunch of pieces of plastic, the price really isn't that bad. I think this kit is worth the investment. It'll definitely help raise my grade.

Arrived fast!
This kit arrived very fast. I ordered it on a Sunday and it was in my hands Tuesday afternoon. Also it said that it was a used kit but all pieces were still brand new, in tack, inside their sealed plastic bags. It's a nice kit and will be very helpful in my organic chemistry class this semester. The pieces are very hard to put together but I think the more I use it them, they will loosen up and become easier to configure.

Your looking for this one.
This is a wonderful molecular modeling set, the atoms feel good and have snug fit in the model but what's great is that the quality of the plastics used in the set is superb. The set comes with many atoms and carbons so you will be able to make most all molecules you encounter. I would recommend applying a small amount of grease into the atoms, (not the bonds, because that gets messy) for easier removal, this won't cause atoms to slip off, they still have a snug fit. The set is manufactured in England not the Far East, so rest assured it will last a long time. Overall a great choice and definitely recommended,

Great set!
Great set. Basically all you need to help you visual molecules and understand stereochemistry in any general Organic Chemistry course. I bought this set after taking Organic Chemistry 1 the first time. I didn't do so well and decided to retake it the following semester. Stereochemistry is a large component of Organic Chemistry 1 and really helps with understanding the subjects later in the semester. Let's just say second time around I got the highest grade possible in the course :)

Little hard to work with at first
Joining the pieces together is such a pain to start with. However, as you work with them more and more, it gets much easier. Used them enough such that I can build the models decently quickly. If you are allowed to used these during an exam, make sure to use them a LOT before hand to make it easier so you're not fussing with the tough joins.

Works, quality control could be better
This kit certainly contains the pieces stated and works as advertised. The issue is that the "bonds" are press-fit into the "nuclei" and so tiny differences in diameter mean that some go right in, some are a bit too loose, and some are very hard to get in at all. The tolerances need to be better, or the could do something a little more sophisticated such as having a slightly larger knob at the end of each bond that snaps into place.
