Every Young Woman's Battle: Guarding Your Mind, Heart, and Body in a Sex-Saturated World (The Every Man Series)

Every mother should read this alongside their teenage daughter and TALK about it. There is even a small group guide if you want to go that route. Direct and to the point. For those that said it was to graphic or descriptive for their teen maybe they had the 'Every Woman's Battle' not 'Every Young Woman's Battle' OR they could be out of touch with what teens are exposed to on a daily basis.

If you are looking to have a deeper walk with Jesus, and to find a deeper love than you’ve ever known-that many of us need, this is the book to read. It covers all the sensual temptations we face in an effort to find attention, love- that someone cares about us. And it does not just skim over topics in such a way for someone who is just learning about these things, but it goes in detail about temptations we deal with in this time and real-world examples of many different women who gave in to those temptations(and now the repercussions they are having to overcome). It shows that we are not alone in our struggle, and that there are many biblical backings to show our need to stay away from these temptations that lead to sin. I loved this book because it wasn’t someone sugar-coating anything, and they used real-life stories and many Passages from the Bible to back up the truths they spoke. Five stars!

i got this for my 11 year old daughter. she has been struggling with certain issues and this has been very helpful. i understand it addresses VERY hard and rough topics....so it might be a lil much for girls who are not already suffering. but for my daughter it has been helpful and she enjoys reading it together. other books on the issue very much addressees boys when it comes to porn and masturbation. this specifically dresses girls so to her it has been perfect

I just finished reading this book in my 30's. I sure wish I had read this book 20 years ago, it would have saved me from a lot of heartache and mistakes. I recommend this book for any girl in high school.

I am a young woman in my twenties and have had a wonderful childhood and was greatly protected by wise parents. They did not over-protect and I have them and the grace of God to thank for the fact that there were things in this book that I never knew even went on. That being said, I would not give this to a younger me at thirteen. I have always been a romantic and at that age the topic would have consumed me. I think it is important to encourage hobbies and friends and to give gentle warnings without to much emphasis on "what not to do." I would however read portions and discuss situations with a daughter that age. I was greatly encouraged by the book, loved the attitude of heart in which it was written, the focus on God's love and fulfillment in him and I think this is a wonderful book for women entering the dating scene and having a desire to walk uprightly through it. Thank you to those who took the time to write this and research and promote it!

In reading this book, my wife and I realized that our daughter's mind and heart is already too guarded to read some of the examples of struggles that other girls are having. I recommend this book only if your daughter is already struggling with guarding her heart and mind and body in a sex-saturated culture.

so i ran across this book online and decided to buy it for several reasons: i had sex before marriage and i was just devastated at the fact that i gave something that precious away, and i currently have an addiction to porn and masterbation. now this book has helped me the very first day i recieved it and all i did was read the forewardm author note . GET THIS FOR YOUR DAUGHTER. i truly recommend this. thios can help you heal yourself through gods love abnd mercy hope this review helps. :) God Bless

Good for a young woman but maybe not for a young teen.

This Book is one of my favourite books, it is so amazing and it opened my eyes to so much.After reading this book I really understood why I struggled in specific areas and how serious it can be not to discipline yourself mentally and emotionally. It has allowed me to build up my self confidence and relationship with God and I am loving my relationship with God even more!I would recommend this book to teenagers that struggle with lust, emotional or sexual integrity and anyone who wants to build on their relationship with Christ as well as seeing him as more than just our Father in heaven. This book allowed me to see how much God really truly loves us in a different light.

The book was in bad shape. Even though I knew I was buying a used book but it was already badly damaged.
