Zefal Cotton Bicycle Rim Tape - Pair

It includes Two-Tapes for (obviously) two tires.I used it on a 700c hybrid wheel, for a Road Bicycle(GMC Denali), and it was well enough to cover the wheel and secure it.As the product photo shows, it includes a hole to put it on the entrance for the valve. In my case, the hole was a little bit far from the beginning, which I liked because it helps you to cover the entire tire and a little bit extra to secure it.I liked the texture of the cotton because it made a huge difference contrary to the original plastic the wheel used to have.I hope the photos help other customers to know what they are getting, as well as to know which width to get.NOTE: The width of the tape depends more on the wheel you use, rather than the bike you use.

These worked perfectly. I love the size that many other brands don't offer. The 1 extra mm over the standard 16 mm that others have may not seem like much, but it could make all the difference. It may not be quite as thick as some of the others, but in my opinion, that is a plus. IT is plenty thick enough to prevent the tube from squeezing through the holes, and it allows you to have that extra mm width without worrying that you won't be able to seat your tire. This would be a 5 star review if not for the fact that either Zefal or the sellers decided to sell me REMNANTS disguised as full priced, new, uncut rolls. My first roll was fine. The second had two lengths of tape. The start of the roll reached about 2/3 around the wheel, and then another length was badly stitched to the first. So badly stitched that when I stretched it to make the two ends reach, they already pulled apart held on barely buy just two stitched. But the actual tape ends were almost a half in apart. Right over a spoke hole. There is no way it would have provided any protection. Even if it was stitched better and didn't come apart, and WASN'T right over a spoke hole, this would still be unacceptable to sell as a new roll of tape. I am now unable to ride my bike all weekend until I get a replacement because when I took the old tape off, it never occurred to me to do it carefully to save it just in case I was fraudulently sold useless pieces of tape that offered no protection.

I've used both Zefal (these) and Velox (pretty much the same, but usually priced a bit higher) for more than twenty years now, and I've got a pair of wheels with each of those that has had the same strip in place for that entire period. Just make sure that you get the valve stem hole perfectly centered when positioning the strip. And if your rims are drilled for Schrader valves, be aware that you will need to carefully re-punch the hole for the larger Schrader stem, as these come punched for Prestas.

I can't believe it took me over 14 years to change my original fiberglass rim tape which was causing me to get flats because the rim tape would move to one side and expose the sharp edges for the spokes. No more flats from the rim tape! Very easy to install and didn't need to cut any length off for my 700c wheels. Just make sure you get the right tape width when ordering. The tape also has a good amount of stickiness to keep it in place. Not sure though how easy it is to remove but hopefully that won't need to happen in a very long time.

After having more than a few flats, I installed the Zefal rim tape and everything is perfect now. The fabric thickness is perfect for the task and the amount of adhesive is perfect. As I understand it, the rule of thumb is to get a size 2mm wider than the rim width, so I put 17mm on a 15mm wide rim. The fit is perfect and had I bought any size smaller it wouldn't have done the job.Five stars. Hit the buy button.

I rode a century back in September and during the course of the ride I got 3 pinch flats. I was really annoyed at the end of the ride having to change tubes. It's aggravated by the fact that you're tired and in no mood or energy to change another tube. I was determined to find a cause for my flats. Reading from forums and websites, it's mentioned that old rim tape can cause pinch flats because they can't protect the inner tube from the holes drilled inside the rim to mount spokes. I inspected my wheels and sure enough my old rim tape was completely sunk into the holes on the bottom of the rim. My tape was over 5 years old. After replacing the tape I went on another century and didn't get any pinch flats. Installation is really easy, just line up and stick on. Happy riding!Tips- Make sure to order the right width of tape for your rim. (You can measure yours with a ruler)- Inspect and replace your rim tape every 2 years to prevent pinch flats.

Zefal 13mm rim tapeI used this rim tape to replace the elastic rim strips on my 700c aluminum road wheels. The Zefal tape shaved about 15 grams of weight per wheel versus the rubber elastic strips. The 13mm width was a better fit, but 10mm probably would work even better. I don't recommend anything wider than 13mm for a road bike or hybrid bike wheel.The tape is easy to apply. The starter part of the tape has a hole which is used to line up with the valve stem hole in the wheel. Then simply keep running the tape once around the wheel.Overall: 5/5 stars, easy to apply and stays in place unlike the rim strip.

This tape has an incredibly strong adhesive, and is very thick. I'll never, EVER have to worry about a wheel with this stuff installed; it's so nice I use it for non-wheel purposes. Stick it under p-clamps to protect your paint, secure shift levers and brake levers against unwanted rotating on handlebars. Clamp-on water bottle cages and cup holders benefit similarly.

Not the most glamorous piece of cycling kit but can be the source of irritating punctures if it does not do its job. This tape is very good. Easily enough for a 700c/29er rim. The sticky side has just the right amount of stickiness to secure the tape but allow repositioning if necessary. Once fitted it does not shift or deform unlike some plastic rim tapes. I have found it suitable for both high and low pressure tyres and inexpensive too.

El fondo de llanta se coloca perfectamente, son dos rollos de cinta adhesiva con un material trenzado que se ve bastante resistente. Hay que tener la precaución de comenzar a pegar desde el agujero de la válvula y limpiar bien la zona antes de comenzar.Se coloca mejor que los fondos elásticos. No le pongo 5 estrellas porque eso se lo tiene que ganar con el tiempo, a ver que resistencia tiene.

Alla mia prima esperienza di sostituzione copertoni per bici da corsa ho utilizzato questo nastro adesivo per proteggere la camera d'aria, di facile installazione, a prima vista sembrerebbe resistente.

semble pas mal lors de la pose mais au final la bande se détériore vite, elle se déchire au niveau des trous de rayons (pourtant je mets une pression assez faible) et elle laisse plein de colle sur la jante quand on l'enlève.

小径ロードに使っていたパナのポリライトがヒルクライム後ダウンヒルのブレーキ熱でダメになりこのコットンリムテープに交換しました。まだ数回しか使用してませんが今のところパンクしてません。
