Extends Shade For Your Little One
It is our first baby and of course we made the huge mistake of going cheap on our stroller thinking we were going to use the sling more than the stroller, as it so happens the baby never took to the sling but loves the stroller! And of course the more affordable stroller is lacking in almost every aspect, including shade. The shade that comes on the stroller is so small that it really doesn't do much, especially when baby is small, so far every time I have used the shade on the stroller it hasn't done a thing to actually shade my baby from the sun, so I purchased the RayShade which simply attaches via velcro straps right ontop of the stroller shade. It is lightweight, easy to fold away, easy to attach, easy to detach AND provides ample shade for baby! Plus it is UV protective. The one complaint I have about the RayShade is that you can't simply keep it attached and push it back when not needed and pull it out when needed (but I really do think this is asking for a lot- but of course this would be a dream, very ideal). I do use it all the time when going for long walks with baby and think it very useful and am very grateful that someone has even thought to make this product. Before the RayShade I would hang a light blanket on the stroller to block out the sun hitting my baby's face but I found that 1.The blanket would constantly need adjusting, 2.The blanket would get in baby's face because of the breeze, and 3.Baby couldn't see anything - it was not a very good solution.

About Doubles the Shade
I actually purchased this shade a long time ago, as my son is now 4 and not using a stroller any longer. However, I wanted to share my thoughts to help anyone who is shopping for an infant.I didn't used to be too concerned with the sun, but I have gotten more so with age, and my son also had eczema so I really didn't want to do anything that might irritate his skin more. However, the shade that came on his stroller by default was just not enough, which is why I decided to get the shade.I like it because it extends the protection of the original shade by about double, and fits on right over the existing one. You can take it off and store it in a pretty small space, but for my purposes there really was no need.My stroller could still be folded and stored even with this shade on it, so I didn't really see the need to take it off and put it back on. One less step both ways.My son also liked to sleep in his stroller. I took him out in it and went for walks for exercise, and he loved the motion, which relaxed him to sleep. The shade offered a little extra darkness to keep the sun from his face while he slept as well.I would definitely recommend this. My stroller was not an umbrella stroller, but a Graco that was a step up from umbrella, stronger and sturdier but not too much bigger.Hope this helps you to decide.

Shade at last!
I have a Baby Trend Expedition jogging stroller which has a very small canopy that only blocked the sun from the back. I've wanted a stroller like the BOB because of how large the canopy is but couldn't afford it or justify paying that much more. Once I saw this I had to have it. There's no instructions on how to put it on but it's pretty self explanatory once you play with it. There's 4 velcro tabs that you just need to find a good place to attach to on the stroller. It does come with a pocket to hold a cup or snacks but it's not very big and doesn't hold the types of cups I use. The shade covers up the 2 large pockets on either side of my stroller so I was pretty bummed by this. The rayshade is pretty large and does the job. It covers the top half of my son's body, so the sun still hits his legs. It does extend a little wide on the sides to where it impairs my son's vision if he's trying to look to the side of him.Overall, I'm so glad I found this! It's a very affordable solution to provide shade to my child without making me feel guilty because the sun is glaring in his face the whole time.

A Must Have Item
First of all, I have to say that I didn't expect this to work but thought I'd give it a try. I was getting tired of walking and pulling the stroller backwards to avoid sun on the baby.I first discovered this item when the canopy on my favorite stroller broke. I didn't buy the shade then because it doesn't work as a replacement for the stroller's canopy, this is an add-on to make it longer.I had been using a blanket on one of our other strollers, but1. my daughter would pull the blanket down thinking it was for a game of peek-a-boo2. her feet were still not covered (of course my husband asks why the baby didn't have socks on but since it was 80 degrees ans she still can't walk, I though it was OK)This is pretty inexpensive and so I thought it was worth a shot. It is so much better than I thought it would be. It fit on our small First Years stroller and our larger Kolcraft Lite. Sometime you have to play around with where to attach the straps to get a nice taught fit.It extends out the perfect amount to cover the baby from any sun, even her feet. It took 2-3 tries to figure out how to wrap it back up. Just keep making the circle frame smaller and smaller as you wrap it closed and it will fit back in to the original bag. It fits in my diaper bag or medium purse.
