Crock-Pot 4-Quart Smart-Pot Programmable Slow Cooker, Silver

Love the original, don't like the "slow cookers". They just don't cook like a crock pot does. Perfect size for 2 people. Holds one whole chicken, or several pieces, one small Chuck roast. I like the shape as well. Just wish it had a locking lid.

I am retired so I can be home to watch a slow pot boil/cook. This slow cooker has all of the options I need. But on top of that, its temperatures are spot on so food cooks like it is supposed to. If I still worked and needed a bunch of timers and other options, I would probably buy the American Test Kitchen recommendation, but this option is cheap and does what it is supposed to do. Very happy.

This has to be the best slow cooker I've ever used. It's the right size for smaller meals. The 4-6-8-10 hr cook option is more flexible than most slow cookers and its automatic shift to a warm cycle when the cook is complete is excellent for all-day, unattended cooking. All my single family and friends get one; it has been the perfect gift.

I just don't trust leaving my house with it on high. Gets too hot, the unit has actually turned off. At first, I rated this 1 star, but after monitoring my crockpot while home while cooking in it, I haven't had any problems cooking on low, and no further issues since having it on my ceramic cook top stove when cooking in it. The times I experienced problems I placed the cooker on a wood cutting board while on high setting. After experimenting with it further, I decided to continue using it while home. And I will keep it instead of buying another crockpot.

I have had a Crock Pot exactly like this for a long time. That unit took a power surge during a storm and was rendered useless. I couldn’t find one like it for replacement. Then one day I searched for it on Amazon, and there it was! It is the size I like and has all the features I want, especially the automatic change to “Warm” at the end of either timed cooking cycles.

My 4 qt crock pot died on me and I had to have another -- love this one with all the different settings and then a warm setting once it is finished ...great if you end up late with dinner -- always keeps it warm for you. Easy to clean and a great size for up to 4-5 people but also great for 1-2 people. Perfect size for my household!!!

We've owned our crockpot for just over a year now and have questioned for quite some time if it was heating properly. After measuring the temperature, we reached out to the company to ask if it was heating to the required temperature. They responded that it is no longer under the year warranty and will do nothing to address the poor functioning. It is apparently acceptable to CrockPot for their products to have such short life-spans. I would expect the quality to be such that it would last much longer than just over a year. Not only does their response indicate that they don't stand behind their products, but it is wasteful that I now must discard the crockpot. I will look to another company in the future who has higher standards of quality and will not be purchasing from Crockpot in the future.

I wish I had purchased a different model. I love Crockpot brand, but this model is too limited for my needs. Only 2 time choices per heat setting. No timer countdown. It’s small. Good for cooking for 1-2 people.

Perfect size for one or two people. Cooked a roast of beef to perfection. Love it

Although this crockpot is a perfect size for a family of two, the only complaint that I have is that the stability of the item itself, is unreliable. It would make more sense to have this unit built with a solid footing of four legs, rather than the three that this appliance comes with. It can tip easily when being used and with hot items inside the appliance, this can be a potential hazard. Hmm, I guess the engineers were asleep when this was designed.
