Quilted Waterproof Mattress Overlay Pad - Extra Large Flat 36x70 "

My senior cat recently had an accident on the bed and her urine went through a blanket, sheets and into the mattress. I really did not want to have to sleep on one of those mattress pads that feel like you are sleeping on plastic and make for a very warm night's sleep so I thought I would try this out instead. The first thing that I did upon opening the package was to lay it out on the floor and pour a full, red solo cup (16 oz) of very warm water on it to simulate the temp of my cat's urine. I let it sit for an hour and not a drop went through! The 36 x 72 inch size perfectly covers 1/2 of a queen size bed so I use one on top of all the bedding on the side of the bed that she sleeps on and I put the other pad on my side of the bed when I am not in it. The cotton side is very soft and the vinyl side is not stiff at all. It is lightweight but not flimsy and there is no plastic or chemical smell. My cat had no problem sitting/laying on it once I put it on the bed. I feel confident, after my water test, that my bedding is safe. I think that a person would also be comfortable sleeping on it because it is so soft.

Large size makes transfers and movement in bed very easy for both patient and caretaker. Having the extra length makes rolling the patient much easier than with a traditional hospital issue square underpad. Allows the shoulders to be rolled with the hips.We've purchased 3 of these so far to replace smaller protectors, and they hold up very well with heavy warm-water washing- some pilling of the top layer, but still remain soft and intact. They are durable, but thin enough for the alternating air mattress to be effective in pressure ulcer management. As with any vinyl backed underpad - patient feels a little bit warmer and sometimes has a sweaty back in the morning.This product was strong and large enough that paramedics could easily lift our 160 pound patient from a wheelchair directly onto the gurney safely and comfortably. They were impressed we owned it, both for their convenience but also for the comfort and safety of the patient.(The patient I refer to above is my 106 year old grandmother we have taken care of at home for over two years. This product has sincerely helped the efficiency of our care.)

This product is exactly what it says it is. It works well for my elderly mother. Easy to clean; Just throw it in the wash. No problems at all. Design wise I would have loved it if it was longer or had a length that could be tucked under the mattress. My mother sleeps in a full sized bed. The only extends to the edge of the mattress. If it could be tucked under the mattress there would be no problems with it moving during the night while she sleeps. I sewed on two extensions and made it long enough to tuck. Made a world of difference. This pad does it's job. Maybe the manufacturer can make some changes to its length and it would be a fantastic product.

I have a female dog with occasional incontinence when she sleeps. I wanted a pad that was big enough to cover her bed. These pads work perfectly. They are really soft so she likes lying on them. They stay put and pull any moisture away from the surface for when she does have an accident. They also wash really well. I am extremely pleased with the quality of these pads.

Product is just what I was looking for to protect bedding from elderly dog incontinence. It was getting annoying to have to wash all the bedding from my king size bed,for a small puddle...I didn't want a mattress cover or a sheet. Found this and have been very pleased. Covers about a third of a king size bed,which is really all I needed. If you are looking to cover an entire bed ,you will need more than one. It stays puts,doesn't crinkle or have an odor. It's absorbent and I haven't noticed a runoff. I've washed it many times,and is holding up well. I do use it under an old duvet cover but over a comforter. But I guess you could use it on top. Not fashion forward,but would be fine. It also seems to be sturdy...I have 2others dogs whom also sleeps on the bed,and no rips,tears or snags.

My husband sweats buckets while he sleeps (medication side effect) and we sleep on a memory foam mattress. To prevent damaging our expensive bed I was using a waterproof mattress cover but washing it was so difficult! This pad is the best thing ever! Easy to wash, no more fighting with the mattress! I just lay the pad directly on the mattress (under the fitted sheet) and the pad is large enough for my husband to sleep on, plus it stays in place. Just wish I ordered this sooner. I simply throw the pad in the washing machine and then the dryer. Easy peasy!

I thought I was purchasing another mattress pad w/fabric sides that tuck under the mattress. I had done that previously and loved that they stayed in place. This product, however, doesn't stay in place, wrinkles when u move, etc. etc. It's my oversight that I bought the wrong thing, used it anyway in hopes it would suffice, but it really doesn't. It's good quality, etc. but doesn't stay put thru the night.

This fully covers my child's twin bed, contains accidents and has gone though the laundry (regular wash & dry cycles, no special treatment) repeatedly with no loss of function. I have been very pleased.I should note that I make his bed in layers: pad, sheets, blanket, then another pad, sheets and another blanket 3x, so when the top bedding gets wet the whole set comes off and he's back in bed without waiting for me to remake it in the middle of the night. So the pads my be getting rotated occasionally and not the same one wet & washed every time. Nevertheless, none has ever leaked or failed to contain an accident, and not having the wraparound "fitted" style does make midnight bed stripping a whole lot faster.
