Your mileage may vary dependent on what you're using this product for, so here's a description of mine. Short version: Bubba's worked very well for me. Scent was there, but inoffensive, and I am offended by scents I don't like. Bubba's scent was minty-pleasant and dissipated quickly--within a day or two. Details follow: 1. I have a combo of stained concrete and tile floors and a stone fireplace (read somewhat porous cement joining meeting up with the floor) that had seen probably a couple of years of, um, misuse, by my dear departed dog, who had developed a bit of doggie dementia and incontinence in her later years. 2. The dog peed on the floor several times weekly for the span of probably about 2 years. If I was home, it was cleaned immediately. If I wasn't, urgh. It could run down to the fireplace or otherwise just sit and soak in for hours. I cleaned when I got home with a combo of standard cleaning products, a pet-store purchased enzymatic product that had a sickly strong scent, and with just a mop and water in a pinch and a rush. I had hard floors. This should be fine, right? --Two years later, I've lost my doggie buddy as well as my cat, whose litter box received blame it was not due-- 3. I came home one warm evening, several weeks after pet-lessness, and all the world was a stinky stage. My house smelled like pee. Uuuugh, no. 4. I contacted a company that offered to deep-clean my house for many, many hundreds of dollars with their specially patented formula (whatever, no). 5. I noted their technique and then began to check online for enzymatic cleaning products...Bubba's won and I ordered a couple of gallons. 6. Following the techniques I learned online and from the company I contacted, I used a blacklight flashlight (5 or 6 bucks) to find and identify spots I might have missed in general cleaning. If you ever want to be horrified by your housekeeping, do this. But I think it was effective. 7. I also bought plastic sheeting, as one would use for protecting floors while painting, and then soaked and mopped in the Bubba's on my concrete and tile floors. I left a good, wet floor and covered with plastic to let the product soak in, stay moist so it could continue to do its enzymatic work, and then I removed the plastic the next morning and mopped it up. (Some areas had dried by then, but that was fine, as it turned out.) 8. I soaked the fireplace joining twice, and am prepped to soak it again if the smell comes back. I read one other reviewer who said this could take more than one application, and this seems fair. Not warranted yet, but fair. I walked into my house after a warm day this weekend, and no stinky pong of pet pee. I still have nearly a gallon of Bubba's if it recurs. And I would totally order this product again. It does the trick and doesn't sickly perfume the space in the meantime. Very much appreciate Bubba's!

My grandmother passed away last year. She was our family's matriarch and Christmas queen. So it was an honor for me to inherit quite a bit of her Christmas things. One of these things was a gorgeous Christmas tree mat that she had for decades, from the time my mom was little. The problem? Grandma lived with several cats. At one time she had 14 of them, but that tree skirt has likely seen more cats throughout its decades-long life. Cats will be cats. Especially male cats, of which she had 6. All brothers from the same litter, may they rest at Rainbow Bridge. So, when I unearthed this tree skirt from the box of her items, the cat pee smell it was absolutely lathered with was like a brick to the face. It was so bad that my own cats (I have 3 female) immediately peed on it while it was sitting out. Then my cats began marking the house because pee from phantom cats, i.e odor from phantom cats, had entered their domain. So then my stairs are peed on. My husband wasnt having it. He said the tree skirt has to leave this house, and I was to figure out a way to make this stop on the stairs. Well, I found this product and gave it a try. I did not get rid of the tree skirt. Instead I doused it in Bubba's. Then I doused the stairs. Like magic. No pee smell. The ghosts of my grandma's 14+ cats have left the house, but her tree skirt is here to stay. The smell of my own cats' pee has left the stairs. My one and only single complaint about this is the smell of the Bubba's. Its like eucalyptus + peppermint, but it is so strong that it gave me a terrible headache. I had to turn on the fan and use the shampooer to get it out. Its likely due to how much I had to use, 3/4 of the bottle. So all in all, yes it really works. But if strong odors are a lot for you, have a fan handy. Hopefully they can come up with an unscented version of this. Anyway, I will buy again (and I'll probably have to, since I've come to terms with being the next in line for happily-crazy cat lady, just like my wonderful grandma, as she and her cats are enjoying heaven together).

Bought this based on it having the best reviews for similar products to remove pet urine. I've found that it works but when treating urine stains a bottle doesn't go as far as you'd think, so depending on the size of the area to be treated can get a bit expensive. Our cat had urinated several times on a few different areas of our carpet before we realized what was going on, and the smell was pretty bad. Have gone through about 4 to 5 bottles by this point, and the smell is definitely way better. It's important to follow the directions on the bottle. For a surface pet stain like solid cat vomit just spraying is ok but if your'e trying to treat urine you really need to pour it directly and fairly liberally on the carpet. Let sit for an hour or so per instructions and then blot/wipe up excess liquid (will be foamy). Then put down many layers of paper towel (I've also used an absorbent towel as suggested in the instructions but I now prefer using paper towel so you can just throw away when done) and weigh down with heavy objects, making sure that as much of the treated area is weighted down as possible. Let it sit for at least 8-12 hours. It clearly works because the paper towels were yellowish and smelled like urine. I would then put down new paper towels and repeat to make sure you're getting as much up as possible. I found that the third set of paper towels were only slightly discolored in a few areas. I repeated this whole process again about a week later, with less coming up this next time. Clearly much of the urine has been removed and the smell is MUCH better, though not completely gone. In other reviews some people have said that odor from even heavily soiled spots was completely gone after drying and vacuuming. I haven't had such miracle results, and the procedure is time consuming but I'm thankful to have something that I know works. I also like that it's supposedly natural and safe for pets and kids. I found the smell of the product unpleasant at first but have gotten used to it, and it's obviously much better than cat pee. I wish it left a bit of a fresher, more pleasant scent on the carpet after treated. We have a dark colored carpet so I can't speak to its effects on discoloration resulting from pet stains. . Years ago I purchased the nicest purse I’d ever owned. Like, actually splurged on a brand name leather purse. It’s a super cool, eggplant colored Frye bag. I loved it. LOVED IT! I got it on a crazy sale, but it was originally something like $450. I was over the moon. I am sure you can see where this is going. One of my cats peed on it. 😭 It was in my bedroom, which was supposed to be a cat free zone, so I can only assume this terrible act of vandalism was out of sheer spite. (Don’t worry, I know sometimes when cats don’t use their litterbox it’s due to health reasons... but Olive received the all clear from the Vet). Anyway, I made multiple attempts to revive my beloved handbag.... vinegar and baking soda, other pet odor eliminators, magic rituals, crying... etc. Nothing worked. Sometimes I’d get a false sense of hope, but as soon as the purse was dry the smell returned. It was haunting me.... maybe I should have called an exorcist? As gross as it was I couldn’t bring myself to simply throw the purse away. It went into a plastic container and into storage. Years pass... YEARS! I’m cleaning/organizing my house and come across... THE PURSE. Pulling it out of its container of banishment was like unearthing the Necronomicon. I swear the lights flickered and a susurrus of menacing whispers wafted past my ear. The miasma of cat pee slowly permeated my room. I had just purchased a gallon of this cleaner after reading an article of the best pet odor eliminators, and I knew what had to be done. Cue inspirational montage music. Bucket? Check. Cleaner? Check. Haunted purse? Check. Determined grimace? Check. Ignoring the instructions to test the product on a small, discreet patch of the leather I poured half the bottle into the bucket with a little warm water and a quick prayer to the universe. Into the bucket the bag went, and I waited. Dye leached out of the purse, looking eerily like cursed blood oozing out of an artifact as an intrepid anthropologist stabs into it with a sacred crystal dagger. I had expected this, but a slightly lighter colored bag is better than no bag at all. About an hour goes by before I feel confident to remove the purse from my potion bucket. It looked great, even though the liquid in the bucket was such a deep, rich red that would have made a team of forensic investigators do a double take. I draped the bag over the faucet and waited. It takes about 36 hours for the bag to dry completely and I expected the smell of pee to slowly start seeping out of the seams of my beloved satchel. *Sniff sniff* What?!? Could it be? The only scent that met my nostrils was the pleasant odor of cured leather and Bubba’s. The curse was lifted!!!!! My poor, long suffering bag was saved!!!! I will be conditioning the leather to finalize the ritual, but Bubba’s has delivered. It deep cleaned and completely eliminated any trace of the tenacious cat urine! I am over the moon and will always keep this product on hand! Bubba’s is the only weapon you need when facing the worst, most set in pet odors. I cannot recommend this product enough. 3 stars for price to value. It's expensive compared to other more known brands that work as well. After using the spray bottle on older spots, i found out quickly it wasn't going to be enough. After 1st application, very minor reduction in color and odor. And i followed the directions on the bottle as well as emailed instructions and recommendations here in these reviews. I decided to buy the gallon bottle and used it to really get the solution to soak in, which the spray bottle wouldn't apply enough to do the job. I used and old water bottle, similar bottle that Nature's Miracle offers. I let it soak for a few minutes, soaked up excess, put a towel over, and let dry 24 hours and vacuumed. For about a week i thought i was done and it worked. Then the scent came back, significantly less, but it would need more applications. Also, even though i rinsed the carpet with clean water the next day after vacuuming, using my steam cleaner to get up any residue, it still attracted dirt. Anyone that knows when putting shampoos /cleaners on carpets, if it's not rinsed, the left over residue will attract dirt. So after spending $60 on the gallon and spray bottle of terminator and another $20 on the regular carpet cleaner they sell (which i also used), I have dark spots where the stains were (went from yellowish to a light brownish) and a reduced odor. The claim by the company is the odor and stains will be gone, not reduced. I'm not willing to spend another $40 for each additional application. I'll go by the other equal brands that use the same enzymes, for less. I had very high hopes, which is why i tried both products and bought so much, as well as knowingly paid more. I don't want to bash the company, because it did help some, but would like to see the prices come down and to set expectations a bit more realistically. Plus I'd like to see why dark spots appeared on a light carpet, even after rinsing.

Another amazing product from Bubba's Rowdy Friends. We have 2 large dogs (1-3 legged) and 2-cats-(1 has lymphoma--getting chemo and doing great as far as doesn't seem to be in pain and still jumping up on the bed and sofa to get his lovin. The only problem is he is/has been scraping with the only cat who moved back in with us after 3 years. Had previously lived with us so didn't think and would visit when his momma went away so didn't think it would be a problem (I can be pretty naive). Anyway since November they have been vying for territorial rights and made our lives miserable, not to mention our house was a constant cleaning nightmare. In Apr we found out one of our cats has Lymphoma and wasn't always able to get to the box (Have 3 of them) plus both cats marking their territory. I tried so many cleaners and at best they did a mediocre job on the stains (carpet/drapes/furniture)--it was really gross, and I, a septuagenarian, was so exhausted with the daily scrubbing (even professional cleaning did not take out the urine stains in drapes). I put a 5 gal bucket on my walker, filled it about 2/3 full of water. I saturated the bottom 1/4 of drapes where urine stain was, put towels underneath to catch the drips and let it soak for about 30 minutes. I then plunged the drapes into the water up to the top of the stain to rinse. I truly thought I would have to replace the drapes (drycleaned- $$$ but did not work) so I had nothing to lose and it worked great--rinse water was yellow at first but after a couple more buckets of water it was crystal clear. Of course carpet was equally as bad. I was able to save the (white carpet) with spraying this when I first find an accident and cleaning it up. It does pretty good and I use my carpet shampoo to remove any residual whenever I have time. I know a lot of you would say get rid of the cats but they are family, and we love all of them and get so much enjoyment watching them and cuddling up with them. I did recently put 5 of the Feliway diffusers in the house so hopefully this bad behavior will soon come to a halt or at least slow down-it actually seems as though it has haven't had in cat fights in the last couple of days and minimal vomiting from the one with cancer (who by the way is on chemo and doing great). We were reluctant to put him through chemo (13 yrs old) but read cats do well with it so decided we would at least try it for a while--so glad we did, If we didn't know, how sick he was by biopsy/monthly treatments, he acts just as healthy and has no signs of slowing down. By the way, my house now looks great, smells great AND feels clean again. Thanks to Bubba's Rowdy friends products. I use steam cleaner carpet shampoo, and Pet Odor Eliminating Spray plus the Terminator--will never be without these products again. My husband is equally happy, he does not have to replace carpet, drapes, curtains or furniture.

This stuff seems so far to be a MIRACLE product. My rescued pup, between upset tummy caused by a certain food and his neutering around the same time began to forget potty habits and used my carpet every single morning religiously at a minimum. It took me three weeks to pinpoint his food was bothering him, and that diarrhea smell made matters worse. The Bissell carpet cleaner wasn't cutting the smell, and if I could smell it, he could as well. Saturday night, I got my bottle in the mail, and went right to work on it. For deep nasty smells, you are supposed to pour directly on the carpet into the padding, cover with towel and place a heavy object on the spot. That's kind of tough considering a. it is hard to find the spots. I have to smell for them b. there was so much square footage to cover and c. I had no idea how much product was required to get to the carpet padding. You aren't supposed to have prolonged skin exposure to the product, so I would recommend gloves, but when I did was pour enough product that when massaged foamed up kind of soapy. I covered the area up (the biggest treated are was probably 100-150 sq ft) and put boards weighted down on the them. I left the whole set up overnight. In the morning, I woke up to the first morning in probably a month to not poop on the floor and no pee in my dog's belly band. I wasn't sure if all the weighted stuff made my dog avoid using that area as a toilet, so I picked up everything and did a sniff check. No smell; just the product. The floor was still wet. After an afternoon air drying, the floors were completely dry and I vacuumed them (the last step on the bottle). I woke up this morning to clean carpets once again. My only skepticism would lie in what happens when the scent wears off. I'm hoping the dog smell does NOT come back nor the accidents, but will update if this is the case. I used this product to clean up a canola oil spill on my carpet as well. I sprayed it on, and as per instructions, let the product sit for at least 10 minutes, scrubbed with a rag and repeated the process. The stain appears to have come out 80-90%. I'm thinking if I use the product and then shampoo the area I might be able to get the rest of it out. which I didn't think was possible. The smell of the product isn't overbearing. It kind of has a minty-Vicks rub smell to it. If you only have a few spots on the floor, it shouldn't dominate your house. My house, since I had to treat around 20% of it, definitely smells heavily like this product and my rags still smell like it even though I washed them. I'm okay with it though because I don't mind the smell of the product even though I'm typically sensitive to things like that. Not sure if it is a pleasant smell or just a great alternative to dog pee smell. I can see how some people may complain about the scent though. Total I treated about 200sq ft of space I would say and I still have some of the product left. The gallon went a lot further than I thought it would. I can imagine if you treat as accidents happen this product would last quite a while. So worth the $40 and elbow grease to have a clean house again! THANK YOU!

This stuff is awesome. So worth the money! We are moving and one room in our house reeked of dog pee. So gross, I know. I cleaned the spots with vinegar and water every single time my dog had an accident and apparently that didn't work. There were spots that were 10 months old and it got so bad that we didn't even want to go in the room or invite guests over to our house. After trying about 5 different products on the market that didn't work (and spending way too much money), a family member mentioned this product to me. I immediately came to amazon and looked at the reviews and was shocked by all of the great reviews! I thought for sure I was going to have to replace my carpet, but I decided to try this stuff first. It came quickly with prime and I immediately used it! I used it exactly as it says to on the bottle. I got the carpet wet with water down to the pad(carpet needs to be wet for enzymes in cleaner to activate), soaked up as much of it as I could, then saturated the spots in the cleaner. Do not dilute. I then covered the area in a trash bag to keep the moisture in and left it sitting all night long. (I will warn you, the smell of the cleaner is super strong. Not bad, smells like bubble gum, but is VERY strong. I opened up my doors and windows for a bit so it wasn't so strong). The next morning I took the trash bag off and exposed the carpet to air to dry. Do not try to dry the carpet, let the air dry it. 3 days later vacuumed the area and did the sniff test, the urine smell was GONE. COMPLETELY GONE. I even noticed an immediate change in how the room smelled. I did smell a bit of the cleaner still, but it was far less strong and better smelling than urine. AND I SMELLED NO URINE. The carpet looked cleaner, smelled better, and the room stench was gone. I even put some in a spray bottle so that any time my dog had an accident I could use it right away instead of having to soak the carpet for old stains. The bottle says to leave the cleaner for an hour, but the stains and smells I was dealing with were older and I definitely would recommend leaving it overnight to get the best for your money. Definitely will be buying again! Never buying stuff from the store again.
