Levi's Men's Ace Cargo Twill Pant

This is my second pair, now in green. I love these, everything from the fit to the pockets in pockets. Very soft twill -- very comfortable. At least for me, these fit true to size and my second pair fit exactly like the first. Love the cell phone pocket, and now I always know where the phone is. On my older cargo pants the phone kept moving around in my pocket and banging my knee -- not anymore.Sometimes it's hard to tell colors on your computer, so I'll tell you this green is definitely a military OD green.I especially like the taper of the pants. Some cargo pants are straight leg and look more like work pants. These have a nice taper that looks smart on casual Friday or even on a date. They ride pretty much on your hip, not too low but could be just a bit higher for this 65 year old who's not a svelte as he used to be. That said, if I didn't like the fit I wouldn't have ordered a second pair. Still, when adding logs to the fire at my girlfriend's house she has commented on my plumber's crack.Update 5/19/13: I'd reach in my pocket to get some change, and getting everything out was difficult and time consuming as some of my change would go into one pocket and the rest would drop into that secondary pocket. I'm not sure what the purpose of those secondary pockets are, so I cut them away with a scissors (took five minutes) and all is well now. I still love these pants and they're even better now that I've "improved" them.

Pants run a bit large so I followed the advise of another reviewer and ordered a size smaller. I am usually a 34 waist, however, these pants run a tad larger, that being said a 33 waist fit just right with a little room. I normally do not like the relaxed fit, but these pants don not have the baggy loose look and fit great around the waist and thighs, material is soft and comfortable and tapered at the bottom. I just ordered another pair in black, hope this helps others who are looking at these pants.

Okay this item came today a day and a half after ordering it which was super fast. I was anxious to try them on and see how they fit and to my surprise they fit great, now let me say I work out and have pretty muscular legs so I normally wear a 36 inch waist and figured I'd go with a 38 to have more room in the thighs. And glad I did. They fit great not baggy but had nice room in the thighs and pretty great around my waist and butt, I did the squat test and see how they hold up with kneeling down and they were perfect. Rest assured I'll be ordering more soon.

the right hand pocket has a divider, not sure of the purpose but my keys tend to hide on one side or the other. the right cargo pocket has a small divided pocket, almost like a magazine holder or maybe for pens or other longer taller items.the left side pockets are standard. the flaps are buttoned and stay closed pretty well. the main pockets seemed rather shallow but in use nothing has fallen out and I do have to stick my hand in to get my keys or coins out. I've become partial to cargo pockets to carry stuff for walking the dog - treats, bags, etc. The pants have nice stitching and appear to be reinforced in all the right places.I check different colors to see what the price differences are so I tend to buy the colors that are least expensive... I don't really worry about color coordinating but the harvest gold is more like light brown. I'm looking to get more and with Levi's I can count on the sizing being fairly standard.

I usually shun any pant that might be considered "slim" as I have athletic thighs (slightly thick) and calves and know that style just does not work for me but I don't like baggy, loose pants either.What a nice surprise when these Levi's got in and I tried them on to discover they were slightly more tapered but definitely wearable and very cool looking! Waist and seat-wise they are true to fit and true to the "relaxed" label but I would hesitate to say they're "relaxed" from the thigh down. Similar to 505 jeans. The main hip pockets are off seam and slightly lower than what's on most pants but it's an eccentric design tweak and not a deal breaker. Inside each hip pocket are deep coin pockets.Color is definitely a military olive. I like the flap style for cargo and rear pockets as well as the single metal button closures. I cannot stand and won't buy cargo pants or shorts with velcro closures. Cheap, ugly and not tactical ;-)These pants fill that gap between ugly, sloppy loose/baggy pants and super slim/skinny pants that are the rage these days!I am quite happy with them and if I reeeaallly needed more cargo pants, I'd get more of these for sure. Now I'm interested in the Levi's Ace cargo shorts too!

I think Levi's always fit just a bit small, but I'm used to that. These pants are well made, but I don't like the design. The front pockets are a bit shallow, and the opening is a bit steep. This means keys which usually hang well into my front pocket off of my belt are just barely in my front pocket. The shallowness make it impossible to conceal anything in them. The front left pocket has a pocket that ends an inch or so before the bottom of the pocket which will fit a dumb phone or mini smart phone. The right pocket has a divider in it at the bottom. Sometimes items are in the front part of the divider, sometimes in the back of the divider. I dislike that a lot. Also, most front pockets are sewn with the seam going straight down, this is sewn at an angle. This means my pocket knife, which is clipped to my pocket and usually hangs straight down, sits at an angle in these pants. They are Levi's so they are well made, but I dislike the design. A lot.
