Hurley Men's BP Solid Boardshort Phantom Boardshort

After trying so many many pairs of swim shorts, I've finally found my favorite! I had previously bought a pair of Hurley Phantom Boartshorts a few years back, but in black. They were a good fit, but slightly longer than I wanted, plus since they were black, they kind of hid some extra curves and contours. If you don't want any extra anatomy definition (front or back), I would stick with a darker color, but I was looking for a great light color and these were perfect! The length is just right for me. I'm 6'3", 170 lb and they fall right were they do on the image for this page. The leg width is always another problem for me, so I don't have thick upper legs, a lot of shorts end up being too flowing. These are night too tight, but they definitely keep a good shape throughout the leg and do not flare out at all. The material is simply awesome too. I love the stretch and quick dry. I think I'm in the minority on this last point, but I prefer shorts with the mesh lining in them. What good are quick drying shorts if my underwear just stay wet? Since these do not have liners, I solved this by also purchasing a very basic pair of swim briefs to wear underneath. That way everything can dry quickly and everything can stay in place while I swim.

There isn't much to be asked for when buying boardshorts, and I therefore have nothing to complain about. These shorts are very soft and more elastic than many of my others, making them the most comfortable I have had. They are stylish, and stand out without being obnoxious or "trendy." The size was a tiny bit large for me (I typically wear 32" and ordered a 31" to be on the safe side, but I should have gone down to a 30") but they stay on my waist fine so it's nothing major.Overall 5 / 5 stars for great build quality, great design, great comfort and giving me nothing to complain about.

These boardshorts got a lot of hype, but I was not overly-impressed. I'm 6'2'' and I feel like these shorts are at least an inch too short to be a proper length for taller men. I've seen a lot of shorter guys wearing this style and they seem to sit much more naturally on them. Also, I would order the waist an inch smaller than you think. They seem a bit large.I live in Hawaii and basically live in boardshorts when I'm not at work. My friends and I seem to be divided into schools of thought for boardshorts: comfort and performance. I tend to like boardshorts that are extremely comfortable, and would gladly forsake having them dry more quickly to have a pair that I'd like to wear from sun-up to sun-down (which I often do). These are more of a performance short, which seems to mean they are stretchy and dry quickly. The material is so thin and papery in almost doesn't seem to get wet, and hence it dries almost immediately. It's not the most comfortable in my opinion. A lot of the colors are a good deal, and I would buy them again, but they definitely aren't my top choice.

These things are awesome. I step outside and instantly feel the sun on my face and the ocean breeze in my hair. Wherever I go, the babes stare me down and whoever I meet compliments my shorts. They are long enough to keep the ladies guessing what you've got but short enough for them to walkover and think you've got a lot (;As I said before these things fit great, look better, and for the price, you seriously cannot beat it. The only issue I had was that on the strings, they feature rubber dots on them that help hold your knot together and after a few washes (and trips in the dryer) it seems like they fade out or disappear. Does not affect me whatsoever.

I am a big fan of board shorts and never owned a pair of Hurley's before and I think most name brand shorts are overpriced, however I changed my mind when these arrived. The fit is perfect, I bought a 30 inch waist and I am 30 in waist and they are not tight and hang well. The material is soft and strechy and very comfortable and natural feeling. I like shorter lengths and the fact that these are 19' means they are not ridiculously long for shorter people, I am 5'8 and the length is perfect. So many other shorts make you look like you are wearing baggy pants. these fit your body and don't feel like you are wearing a towel wrapped around you. Yeah more expensive than Target stuff and the mall sale racks, but well worth it!

These shorts seem fine, very stretchy and comfortable (but probably not worth the exorbitantly high price!). I am returning them, however, as they fit very large for my size (been a 34 forever, and these do not fit at my waist). Also, be careful in ordering from this seller. These are not covered by Amazon's very friendly return/exchange policy, and now I am on the hook to pay for the return shipping myself. This is the last time I will purchase an item from a third party seller through Amazon which might require an exchange.

Not as loose and wide as other boardshorts. A tad bit snug fit, holds nicely in waist and not too tight. On a downside the front opening tends to hang loose as you walk out of water as if the zipper was open, when actually there isn't one, it is all closed. Material is soft and very light compared to other boardshorts. The green straps are somewhat too bright in colour, not accurately represented on a photo. Would reccomend it to a younger person.

This was a great deal to get these hurley boardshorts for $59. At the Hurley's website it is $125, with the option of customizing all of the colours in the shorts.I like that this boardshort hangs above the knee. When snorkeling and swimming having a boardshort constantly rubbing against your knee slows your movement down. The stretchable and water repellant fabric is excellent and the neon green colour looks great.The only problem I found was the back crotch is a little high. It rides up my backside. I guess it was designed for surfer boys who have the physique of a tree with a low-waist. There were quite a bit of loose threads and some flash edges which i cut off with a sharp scissors. I would have preferred the pocket at the side instead of the back, as I can easily sit on fragile items, like my waterproof camera. A drawcord would be essential as well, as the EZ fly closure doesnt close tightly enough for some people's physiques

Took these to Cape Verde and they were a really good fit and great material. Quality product all round and worth the money

Very nice, pretty pricey but so far it's worth it and would buy again, slow delivery but nothing out of order
