These are premium speakers. I've had all kinds and was skeptical about the woofer sizes but the bass is fine and they rock the house. I bought 4 cause I like to jam. Pretty expensive but I can't complain. They are what I wanted and sound awesome and my amp is only about 50 watts. I still can only turn it up a little over half and I think they will last longer than all the other speakers I've had before. I would buy again. No damage from shipping so that was a bonus.

The Polk Signature Elite ES60 tower speakers deliver incredible sound quality, especially for the price. The audio profile is wonderfully neutral, which is exactly what I prefer, none of the overly bright, high-pitched sound you get from some Klipsch-style speakers. I’m running these with an upper-tier Onkyo receiver along with a Monoprice Monolith amplifier, and the combination is fantastic. The clarity, balance, and presence of these speakers exceeded my expectations. I was lucky enough to pick them up on sale, which made an already great speaker an even better deal. If you’re looking for clean, accurate sound without spending a fortune, the ES60s are a phenomenal choice.

First off, I'm not a audiophile. I can't speak on the little nuances of the sound of these speakers. The only thing I can say is these are without the best sounding speakers I've ever owned and I've owned some big name brands in the past. The highs and mids are not washed out by the bass. The bass is clean and tight. You don't have a subwoofer? You really don't need it with these speakers. Anyway, I'm impressed and satisfied. They are well built and sturdy. A quality buy. It was a lift gate truck delivery to my door. They're about 50 lbs apiece. You'll love them!

Polk is amazing to deal with. I’ve had some issues with drivers getting distorted within warranty windows and they are very friendly to deal with. They always replaced the parts very quickly and easily. The sound quality is amazing. They work very well and they have similar quality to speakers that cost far more. They look nice and are a sturdy build too. My house bumps. I have 2 es15s, 2 es10s and 2es60s. I will be getting the es35 soon.

Crossover went out a couple months in but their warranty is great, got a tweeter and a crossover sent free of charge.

I have been a fan of Polk Audio for decades, and have a pair of their bookshelf speakers from the 1980s that still sound amazing. So Polk was on my short list when looking for some new speakers for my home theater audio system. I had tiny Klipsch with a subwoofer, and it just wasn't great for our large room. I selected the ES60 towers, and frankly bought them without an audition, but took a chance based on the reviews of their Signature line, and the promise that the Elite Signature would be an improvement. I wasn't disappointed. The ES60s are very well balanced, with a clean top end that is very detailed. As I'm getting older, I've got that high frequency notch in my hearing, and while I want clarity in the highs, anything too bright is harsh and quickly tiring, which I felt the Klipsch were. I usually listen to the female voice when I test speakers, and Linda Ronstadt's Lush Life was my first test. It rendered her voice beautifully, and no chestiness or boominess in the mid range was apparent. I then pulled out an old DMP recording - Flim and the BB's Tunnel, which is an amazingly well-recorded CD. This is a challenging recording for a system that can't keep up with the dynamics, and the Polks (and my Denon receiver) did just great. Bass was extended without being over the top, and was very controlled. The sax is prominent on this album, and a good speaker will reveal the nice reediness and detail of the instrument, which was nice. Piano is another instrument that is revealing, and there was a warmth and clarity that was lovely. When a piano string is struck, you want to hear that attack, and it was perfect. Soundstage was very good, and fills the room very well. My furniture placement is a bit tricky, and I have several off-axis seating positions, and the wide dispersion of the ES60s allowed those spots to still have a balanced soundstage. All in all, I'm very pleased and these should serve me well for many years.

Great speakers for folks who love the Polk sound. The ES-60's is a beast in a smallish package, they provide that silky smooth Polk sound after a short 'burn in'. Nothing is muddled on these speakers, but the performance is relaxed not at all like Klips in your face highs. If you like that classic sound of those old school speakers from the 80's then these are your cup of tea. If you like a more forward speaker, then they are not for you. The bass on these is perfect for my listening of Jazz music, but in a home theater situation you might want to cross them at say 80 and use a sub or two. The mids on these are sweet not harsh. The tweeters are little soft, that softness really shows on female voices. They move female singer back a bit, not an issue for me but some may find that sometimes she gets a little lost in the music. That being said they perform beautifully and are not tiring at all. I would recommend these to anyone, they are worth trying out in your room, I am sure 99% will keep them.
