Good generator, no issues at all. Kind of heavy.
Pretty damn good genny. Runs on propane, isn't insanely loud, and can run just about anything you might want in a travel trailer. Has no problem running my air compressor. Charges my lithium house batteries in about 2.5 hours (400ah). It's not light, over 100lbs, so probably a team lift for most people, but manageable for me. Overall, very happy with it.

Great Inverter-Generator for the Price
The generator arrived on the day promised on an Amazon delivery truck. It was packed in a sturdy box which showed no damage. It was completely assembled and fairly heavy, about 100 pounds. It came with a nicely printed documentation package which included a replacement parts list. There was a box of accessories which included a quart of oil, a funnel to pour the oil into the unit, and a pouch of tools. My unit was made in Vietnam. I put oil into the unit using the funnel, which is pretty much required to get oil into the crankcase. It took about 75% of the quart to get 2/3 of the way up the dip stick. I fueled it with 87 octane ethanol free gasoline. I flipped the ON switch, fully choked it, and started pulling the starting rope. It took a total of 12 pulls to start it. At around pull 8, it putted a time or two. I pulled it a couple more times before moving the choke to 1/2. It then started on the second pull. It would probably have started sooner had I reduced the choke after the first putt. After running a while, I stopped it and tried to restart it. It starts best with some choke applied even when it is warm. It runs at a very low noise level. Its noise level is about the same as another generator I have that is less than half the power output. The data center provides some good information such as fuel level, runtime, and output load. I ran it for about an hour, never loading it above 1 KW. The break-in period is 5 hours at no more than 50% load. It ran well and supplied all the loads I tried just fine. I expect that it will provide years of reliable service. Also, Westinghouse has a very good website to support its products, including this unit.

So Far So Good
This review is for the iGen4000DFc model with remote start. Bought this unit right before the ice storms; intended for powering things in the house as well as for camping/tailgating. I lucked out and ordered right before the rush, so delivery was very fast and on time as advertised; I read several reviews where packaging can get mangled due to the weight, but this came with pristine packaging and was perfect. Unit was very easy to set up, all accessories were in the box as advertised. TIP: upon first start up, unit will take several attempts before the gas cycles through and all the residual oils in the engine burn off. I had to crank it up at least 6-7 times before it stayed lit and finally "took"; don't panic if it starts up for a few seconds, puffs out white smoke, then conks out for several cycles - keep starting it, it'll eventually stay lit then purr like a kitten. I love all the features and flexibility of this unit, more than checks off all my boxes. Luckily we didn't have an outage, but I tested it with a couple of space heaters (25 amps), a refrigerator (8.5 amps), and probably another 6 amps total of phones/laptops/internet modem and it didn't cough once, so A+ so far; the usage meter on it was also spot on indicating accurate amperage draw. Seemed to sip gas, and all 3 starting methods worked flawlessly (remote, push start, pull cord). NOT AS QUIET AS MANY SAY - it's not loud, but not quiet either; you would piss off many campers if you had this thing running all night. I'm going to add a silencer to it to quiet it down some more. Great unit so far, haven't put it thru the paces yet, but that's a TBD - will update this review if anything material changes as I put some hours on it. Price was great for what you get, and Westinghouse seems to have high reliability ratings, so fingers crossed this was a good purchase. Highly recommend. Update 2/6/26: Meant to mention in the first review - remote start is a nice-to-have, but kinda useless as you still have to be at the unit to turn the main power switch on/off before and after remote start/off. If you don't turn the switch off after shutting it down, you'll drain the on-board battery and it won't start (like a car). I am not sure if the pull cord will start it with a drained battery or not.

Quiet and clean burning.
Very quiet and clean burning with propane. The included propane gas regulator seems to be restricted. It took a good amount of effort to get the gas to flow through it. I will be requesting a warranty replacement gas regulator. Otherwise, great generator. Easy to move with telescoping handle and wheels.

Great product! Please consider buying.
Very nice product. Ample for our needs. Packaged well. Came a day early. Wheels & pull out handle are built in which makes it easier for me to move with Arthritis. It is housed in durable plastic case. Easy to prepare & easy to start. Gas tank cap is an easy grip. It really is so much quieter & the remote start is perfect. It still has manual start if you need it. Duel fuel is perfect as well for home & camping needs should we need. Came w remote faab, propane tank tubing & adapter, oil & funnel & necessary tools. I had also purchased one for my son during the '25 storm and it was perfect for his little home. Suggest 2 people to lift this durable generator. It is solid-does not wobble around. I have arthritis & if I can use it- easy for others.

Absolutely beyond satisfied!
Very impressed with this unit so far! (4000DFc) Package arrived early and in perfect condition. Very easy to figure out what needed to be done in order to get it going. I bought this particular generator for my travel trailer. The ability to run on propane was the deciding factor. No having to mess with having to carry gas cans and dealing with volatile fumes. Unboxed this unit added the oil that came with it, popped open the panel to gain access to the battery which is already installed. Just removed the protective covers from the wires and plugged them together. attached the supplied hose to the generator and propane bottle turned on the power switch located on the front panel pushed the start button and this little machine started right up. After running for a short time the green light lit up showing it was ready to have a load applied to it. I then shut it down and unhooked it from the LP tank and very easily carried it across the property to where the travel trailer is. Hooked it to the LP tank on trailer turn ed the power switch on and went inside the trailer with the key fob. Pressed the button on the fob and it started right up again remotely. could hardly hear it running. I the n went out and made sure the green ready light was on and plugged in the 30 amp service cord. Went inside and turned the A/C unit on and in no time at all the A/C was blowing cold without so much as a studder from the generator. I the n turned on the refrigerator and T.V. This little generator does everything I needed it to do. I didn't try the microwave with the A/C running but it would surprise me if it could not handle it. Did not want to put to much of a load on it before it was ran for awhile. Did not try it on gasoline. Very light weight and quiet for what it produces. Could not ask for more at this price. stows nicely beside the bed while in transit, no gas fumes. It does have a nice handle that slides out from the underside for moving it around on the wheels that come already installed on it. No assembly required. Unbox it add oil connect battery supply fuel (Gas or Propane) hit the start button. Good to go! Thanks Westinghouse perfect fit in every way for this application. The remote start feature is the icing on the cake! The price of this inverter/generator is very reasonable. After only running it for a short time I am unable know the fuel consumption but it does have a ECO mode that allows the generator to produce power to the receptacles at an idle. this allows you to charge your electronics with the USB ports located on the front panel and operate low amp devices without the generator coming off of idle. So I'm pretty sure this thing will run all the things I need it to at an idle except the A/C and microwave.

Quiet as a Church Mouse and Easy as Pie for This 70-Year-Old Barrel Racer
I’m a 70-year-old Texas gal still kickin’ up dust in the barrel racin’ circuit, haulin’ my horses to every arena from here to kingdom come. Needed a generator for my horse trailer to keep that AC unit hummin’ on scorching days, but it had to be quiet enough not to rile my mare and easy enough for these old hands to fire up. Well, the Westinghouse 5000 Peak Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is like findin’ a good gelding: reliable, gentle, and just what I needed. This thing starts with a button push, smooth as butter, no yankin’ cords like I’m ropin’ a steer. That little remote fob’s my favorite; I can turn it on from inside the trailer while I’m fussin’ with hay nets. Quiet? Lordy, it’s softer than a whisper in the barn, lettin’ me visit with folks or let the horses nap without wakin’ the whole campsite. Weighs about 100 pounds, but with them wheels and a handle, I can roll it around the hitch on my own, even on lumpy ground. Runs on gas or propane, whichever’s handy, and stretches a tank near 14 hours, keepin’ the AC cool as a cucumber all night. Plugs right into the trailer’s RV outlet, no messin’ with adapters, and takes that AC’s big startup jolt like it ain’t nothin’, then settles down to 3900 watts to keep us comfy. That CO sensor’s a blessin’ for safety ‘round the horses, and I love them USB ports for chargin’ my phone to check race times. Got 25 hours on it now, from sweaty rodeos to chilly hill country stops, and it’s never let me down. For an old cowgirl like me, this Westinghouse is as good as a cold sweet tea on a hot day. If you’re lookin’ for power that’s quiet and easy to start, this one’s your huckleberry. Pure gold!

Small yet powerful Generator
This unit is an excellent value for the price. I installed it in a small space in my travel trailer and is light enough for me (78 years old) to lift, the handle and wheels come in great for transporting across camp grounds etc. It's a very nice looking unit, comes fully assembled, it''s compact yet sturdy plastic case appears to be very durable. electric starter and remote rounds things out perfectly.
