Alternative Women's Eco Crop Pant

These pants are thin & lightweight and very comfy. The strings are awfully long though and can create a poof under your shirt if you are wearing a longer length top. Other than that I love them.I am 5' 7 1/2" and between 125-130 lbs. For me the mediums are a perfect fit. I tried a pair of small in a different color at the beginning of summer and they were tight up top but still loose at the bottom from the knee down. I also bought a pair of these pants in solid black in size large (last year) but those were too loose all over.I have these pants in every color and included them all in my pics.Edit 6/1/17 I wrote my initial review sometime last year. I just ordered two new pair of these pants which were delivered the other day. The waistband is different. It is not tight and is still adjustable with the string, but they now have an actual band and fit more like regular sweatpants (still made of the same light material though). I LOVE the new style and that i'm able to fold the waistband over. The old ones had no stiffness to the band at all so that wasn't really possible. The new style look nicer overall and the fit is better. I will likely order more and use the old ones as jammies.

I'm happy with this purchase and would buy another pair when these wear out... probably be in about 6 months, considering the thin material. Here are my pros/cons *in context* of how little these cost ($13).Pros:- Lightweight and breathable.- Durable seams, no loose strings on arrival or after being washed.- Very comfortable.- Decently form-fitting for a loose pant. Some cheap work out clothes can be totally shapeless, but these aren't.Cons:- Thin! If I hold them up to a light, I can easily see through them.- Elastic cuffs on each leg aren't very tight. My lower legs are average for a size small and these don't hold enough to stay up.

Super comfortable and lightweight. I prefer them over seats or cotton pants. I use these pants as lounge pants and for working out. They are very lightweight and until July in Texas, it doesn't really get too hot for them. I'm 5'2" so its hard to find great fitting pants, but with the cuff on the leg, I can choose to let them slack or let them sit right below the knee and they stay there. I could probably wear a medium but stick to the larges because I enjoy the loose fit, and the drawstring allows you to tighten the waist, so they never fall off, even when running. I first bought these type of pants at Target, a Mossimo Supply Co brand, but haven't been able to find them since, so I gave these a shot and they are just alike. I have ordered other colors as well. A little more pricier, but well worth it. I gave these five stars, because they are lightweight, comfortable and fit great. Have washed dozens of times, and to me they just get more comfy as they are washed and worn. Long lasting, I've been wearing these pants for at least three years.

I received these in a reasonably amount of time. I had ordered two pair, a different color from a different supplier. So that pair arrived this week. I like the heather look. The fabric is very thin, I was looking for a loose but not baggy pant for yoga. Sadly these will not do. The fabric even though it feels soft to the hand, when I have the pants on, it itches horribly, I suspect it is the rayon or it could be the poly. I can't even stand to have them on for more than a few minutes. The fabric clings, due in part to static electricity I suspect, showing every little unattractive dimple you know where.Somehow I got the idea theses were a cotton blend, but they are a poly blend. 50% poly, 38% cotton and 12% rayon.

My second time around purchasing these has made me unhappy at first so I'm torn between a 3 star and a 4 star. They need to update their pictures because it is no longer made the same way in the waist and is now a tight elastic waist band. I got these a few years back as pictured before the change in their waistband and it was perfect, a 5 star. The fabric may be thin and see through in the light but when you wear them you can not see through it and you can't see your panties and were extremely comfortable and was great for my wide waist, mommy belly. I've lost weight since then and wanted them to be thinner in the legs and am now a medium instead of the large. Thankfully the mommy belly could still get into the medium but the waist is not as comfortable because they are now an elastic waist band instead of as pictured. I'm keeping them since I can get my stomach in them. In my experience with Alternative Women's brand clothing, they are not consistent in their clothes. I had the same issues with their shirts and changing it from what was pictured as well.

Was something wrong with the pair I bought? I wear a size 8-10 pant with an hourglass shape. I ordered a XL because I wanted baggy pants as I have enough tight spandex pants, and was planning to wear these after having hip surgery and would need something loose. These are skin tight! Not quite as tight as spandex, but they cling. Also, the drawstring is thin and there is no other elasticity at the waist, so the pants slip down unless the drawstring is fairly tight.As others have said, the material is thin and feels cheap. Not that soft compared to other brands. There is a seem in the middle of the crotch that is unusual for athletic pants and it rubs.Finally, yes these are see through. When I hold them up in the might I can see through the fabric. However, when on, they are not as see through, so I think they could be worn outside the house (but they will show panty lines).I would be fine if I picked these up for house cleaning used at a thrift store. They have that quality and fit to them. Not ok for buying new from a seemingly solid retailer for out of the house work outs.

I love these. I think the material is really nice, especially for summer. They are not thick and bulky. They are really comfy and fit really nicely.
