This product is THE BEST. I have been using it about a month. My husband was the first to comment that my crows feet had lessened. I noticed that my skin wasn’t flaking off with winter dryness. To be honest I probably apply it too heavy at night, then rub it on my hands and arms (no more dry elbows). In the morning I use just a little and smooth it on for the day. The skin under my eyes is less crepey and is actually soft even if I forget to put it on in the morning. This stuff is literally life changing. My face has not looked this glowing in years. It Has even helped with my perimenopause skin issues. (Thanks hormones). People seem concerned about the price however I have spent way more and had less use with other products. I am less than halfway through my first jar (second jar got delivered today) and as I said I use it on the heavy side at night. That means I have roughly more than a month left. Well worth it is what I am trying to say. I hope I never go without this product because it’s amazing. I would recommend this to everyone. I will also mention my skin is sensitive on my face and other products would cause me to break out in pimples or a rash. Not once have I had a single irritation from this product! I did a lot of reading on beef tallow before purchasing and I’m so happy I chose hearth and homestead. The product is smooth and melts in your skin. Literally melts. My lips are crazy smooth and I feel it has helped with my creases around my mouth as I am a smoker. (Yes I know it’s a horrible habit, I agree) I can’t speak enough good about this tallow!!!! I waited a month to review even though I was so impressed after the first week! This whipped tallow is the real deal. It’s amazing!

This product smells amazing( though the scent doesn’t stay around long)! A little goes a LONG ways.. If you get a greasy feeling then you are using TOO much.. it should literally feel like you don’t have anything on your fingers and are not applying anything and within a few minutes of this melding with your skin temperature you will go back and find you applied just the right amount. If that’s not the case adjust the amount you applied until you get it right. Now I will say.. I ordered this product and then ordered a different one for a friend for her birthday but it didn’t arrive on time so I had to get another product for her and do I ended up keeping this one as well as one other brand of tallow. One of the two products I’ve got are causing redness in my cheeks.. now this can be caused by several reasons so if it happens to you it may not be the same reason it’s happening to me but I believe it happens to me due to tallow being a thick product and it traps heat ..so it only happens when I apply this before bed so I am pretty sure that’s what’s happening and it’s trapping heat on my face from laying with that side of my face against the pillow. It doesn’t bother me.. my makeup covers it easily and it goes away so my love for the product outweighs any concern for this issue. I truly believe tallow has helped decrease my fine lines and wrinkles. It definitely keeps my hands, face and even feet soft and it stays soft even after washing and not applying more for days. Now.. the other product I got has a nice whipped consistency and is a large 8 ounce jar a but less than this product (they also generously sent a free full size, 8 ounces, unscented jar of tallow along with the product I purchased😍) while this one is a very small 1 ounce jar fit quite a bit more and is a balm consistency rather than a whipped consistency. Now I know they say you can rewhip the product but after reading several reviews and seeing that those people who attempted that ended up losing the majority of the amount of product in the end.. and based on the small amount you already receive, I chose not to do that and just use it as a balm.. it works fine like that though I am more than a bit concerned about how easily I’m going to be able to get the product out of the jar once I get records the bottom since it doesn’t come out like the whipped version does.. but I’m hoping it will be fine. It does give you that tallow glow and I really love the product.. just wish there was more of it for the price, as I can’t say I love it anymore and find any discernible difference between this and the other tallow that’s comes in a substantially larger jar at a lower price. And for that reason I’m not sure I’ll repurchase this particular tallow and instead will likely stick to the other brand.

My husband had watched a TikTok video about Tallow balm and he wanted to order it from TikTok. My initial thought was I have very sensitive skin and I tend to have allergic reactions. I get contact dermatitis from certain perfumes, certain soaps, certain lotions, so I have to be very careful. I told him that I would find my own and give it a try. I went through a lot of reviews for different ones and when I found Hearth & Homestead I was so happy to find one that had great reviews. So I made the leap and bought the original. I wasn’t sure what the texture was going to be like because I’ve never bought this stuff before. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was creamy. It’s like whipped butter, but doesn’t leave behind that oily feel which I had expected. I use my hands a lot at work like dishes, scrubbing drains, cutting open boxes, stocking, etc. I have my fair share of calluses. I love this stuff. I went through the whole jar. I started putting it on my feet before bed and putting my socks on, my feet feel amazing the next day. I finally ran dry of the original and decided to try the lavender this time. I opened it up and again I just love the texture, consistency is key! The smell is not overpowering at all. Immediately upon putting it on my hands, they felt instantly hydrated. I have added this into my skin care regime at the young age of 42. I ordered the 1.3 ounce jar and the first one lasted over a month. A little goes a long way. I definitely recommend this product!

I cannot recommend this product enough!!! My 16 month old has been suffering with quite bad eczema patches on her back and arms recently and within a week of using this after her baths (which I also put natural colloidal oats in) it’s 99% cleared!!! It’s definitely worth the money. I don’t normally write reviews but I just had to as I’m so pleased with the results and knowing it’s organic and natural with no nasties!

Irritates the skin a little and pretty solid cream rather than the whipped picture.
