SE Sleeping Bag Compression Sack - TP111CB

Thin but cheap sack
As other reviewers have mentioned, the stuff sack is made of rather thin nylon fabric and isn't exactly gray in color. I really wanted to give this product a better rating because all I needed was a sack to carry/store my sleeping bags. I tend to be on the cheaper side and take pride in finding good values. I was a little disappointed with the stuff sack, but the price was much lower than other stuff sacks so I won't complain too much. Thus the ok rating. As mentioned, the stuff sack is made from thin nylon. I have a windbreaker jacket that is thin and it feels a lot thicker than the material used for the stuff sack. I read the other reviews and figured it was probably thin material, but I didn't realize just how thin until I received the sacks (I bought two). I was concerned the sacks would not be durable but was hopeful they would work for my simple purposes.I have two Ozark Trails sleeping bags. I tried to roll them as tightly as possible as the bag isn't all that wide in circumference. With a lot of effort and a bit of struggle, I was able to get the two sleeping bags into the stuff sacks. The bags are fine lengthwise, but the width (diameter) is pretty tight for sleeping bags. Surprisingly, the stuff sack didn't rip.The compression straps seemed fine. They don't look to be the most durable, but they appeared to be doable. Unfortunately, my sleeping bags made the stuff sack bulge so much that the straps closed ok, but they didn't compress anything. In other words, for my purposes, the sack would have worked the same without the straps. The straps did provide something of a handhold if you didn't want to use the end strap or top pull string as handles. So I was happy that I got the sleeping bags into the stuff sack. I was a bit irritated at how much effort it took to get the sleeping bags rolled to a size that would fit in the sacks (and then only with a lot of effort). I was quite unhappy that one sack tore when taking one of the sleeping bags out of it. So now I have one stuff sack that is usable and the other is worthless now. That's after the first use, too.I can't imagine the other stuff sack lasting very long. It served it's purpose for one overnight camping trip, though. Would I recommend this product? It depends on what you need it for. I wouldn't recommend it for sleeping bags unless it's a fleece liner or a very thin sleeping bag. For other purposes, I'm sure it could still be handy. For under $10, set your expectations accordingly and you won't have much of a complaint and not much of a loss if it doesn't work out for your needs.

Great for average cool weather bag.
We lost the original bag for one of our sleeping bags and it has no straps or ties, so we decided to try this. Now, if you have a bulky or heavy weight sleeping bag, I am not sure it would work. The bag we used it for was a standard “cool” weather coleman bag purchased at a box store. For that, it worked great. We rolled it and it slid oerfectly inside the bag. There was a little room on top where it cinches, so perhaps if you stuffed it instead of rolling it, you may fit a larger bag.

Good for 3 uses. Get what you pay for.
this sac works well as far as it goes.would be even better if it had one more strap around the ends to compress it length wise.Would also be better if the straps were a little longer so you could get a good grip on them to tighten when the bag is packed full.UPDATEI purchased these sacks for lightweight sleeping bags when motorcycle camping. Mostly to keep the road dust off. I Gave one to an old riding buddy. The first time I packed a sleeping bag into it one of a strap broke (stitching let go and it pulled off the bag). And not with much tension. The third time I used it, another strap pulled off just fastening the buckle. Tossed it and got a better bag. This will work IF you don't actually compress it.

Must have for back packing!
This perfect if you love your existing sleeping bag and don't want to spend a ton on a backpacking sleeper. Literally compacts my sleeper to half its size. Must have, can't be beat for $5...Update 5.18.2020 - Changing to 2 stars. All 3 straps ripped off the bag. It still hold 2 stars for 2 reasons. First, it was only $5. And second, it has received new life as a dirty laundry bag.

Seams did not last 1 use. No returns on mine. Buyer beware
Got this to to use for girls scout camp and the seams busted on the first use. once the compression straps were fastened. Was easy to use but Will not stand up to actual camping. I would not suggest using on adult sleeping bags unless they are warm weather rated and very light. Definitely not a durable product.I cannot return for a replacement or refund per amazon and seller has yet to respond to complaint. Buyer beware!!

Nice For The Price
First of all, the dimensions on the bag are stated correctly 23" H- 18 3/4 W "when laid flat" when stuffed it is 11" wide before you compress it. Still plenty big enough room to stuff a big bag and liner. To me the color looks like a very dark grey or graphite. It really doesn't matter, it's going to work the same regardless of the color. The material is thin but if you use it with a little respect it holds up fine. I own 2 and have used them several times without any problems. Only gave it 4 stars due to the fact you have to keep in mind that it is a thin $6.18 bag and if you treat it like a $25.00 bag it won't last long. Would recommend to others.

Not great as a sack, useless at compression
I bought three of these bags for a camping trip. First, they are big - I can fit two sleeping bags into them (and not lightweight bags). Then I tried to compress them by pulling on the straps. the buckle broke.I pulled the other straps more gently, and managed to shrink the diameter by an inch or two. The next bag, one of the straps broke. The next bag, the buckle broke. If you're going to compress, do it extremely gently. Or accept that you have bought a sack, not a compression sack.

It's a bag....
Based on other reviews, I was expecting this bag to fail immediately. I snugged the straps just enough to take up slack. For this low price I was not expecting it to be a true compression sack. I just need it to store my sleeping bag which I think it will do just fine. I should get plenty of use out of this one, but I knew going in what I was getting. Another reviewer said he thought the bag was green. Maybe it's the lighting but the color of the bag is hard to place. Maybe a grayish/green? It that matters to you.

Grosse bullshit.Evaluation zéro +zéro +zéro = zéro

cheap material that tore very quickly
I wasn't thrilled with this product. It was cheaply made, with cheap material and it got torn up at the seams and otherwise during first use. I'll admit, I wasn't delicate with it, but I certainly wasn't abusing it either. I feel like it could be tougher, especially given its purpose.

Not a good buy. The bag split on first use
Not a good buy. The bag split on first use.I bought theses as stuff sacks for sleeping bags. The sacks cannot with stand any force in them. Buy for easy fit items only.

The bag is long enough that a fourth strap is ...
The bag is long enough that a fourth strap is needed for to be fully effective. Otherwise the quality and finish are on par with the price.
