Mattel Ever After High Thronecoming Briar Beauty Doll and Furniture Set

This is a lovely playset. It folds up into a book and the Briar Beauty doll fits into the spine of the book, which is very clever. It folds out into two rooms, plus a little balcony and garden scene on the back. Yes, the furniture is cardboard, but it has to be to fold up into the book. It you want to make something tougher, just buy some used Barbie furniture on ebay (say, a dressing table, fainting couch etc) and glam it up with paint and voila! I do think it is a little fragile for very young girls, but for the older ones or adult collectors, its fabulous. So much can be done with it. They can make of the rooms anything they want. Great play value.

Great gift! Purchased for our daughter’s birthday. She literally squealed. The entire “book” is beautifully designed and she loves all of the room options/accessories. My only complaint, as I’ve noticed others have said —- is the paper DJ station & bedroom part. It’s not like a cheap paper; but it’s definitely not going to last long. However, I don’t see it as an issue. The rooms are still designed well - so when it comes off, everything will be A-OK. Highly recommend. Hours of play. Does require a bit of instruction reading...

Okay, this was a steal of a deal so I can't really complain. My daughter nearly jumped out of her pants on Christmas morning when she saw this. I gave it only four stars instead of five though because there are some parts of this that are made out of paper. Paper. Like the hanging vine thing in Briar's bedroom area and the entire DJ booth. So far it has withstood play and like I said the price was right. So glad that I bought on Amazon because had I paid what the store was asking, I would have been very disappointed to find paper parts. All the same, a very well loved, very often played with toy.

This is a great gift for girls! At first I thought $30 was much but it's actually a great deal. It's a compact "doll house" with a doll and a storage case for all the parts. I wouldn't recommend it for really young girls because there are small parts. Also some of the decoration is paper (because it's meant to fold up easy) but a sturdy kind of paper, really young children may rip it. My daughter is 7 and it works great for her!

I absolutely love the doll! I'm an EAH doll collector and this doll is definitely 5-stars. I bought this set for roughly $30 here on Amazon so I wasn't disappointed with the price point BUT I have no idea how to open the "book" (I just jostle it around until it finally does), all the parts and accessories stress me out and I don't know how any of it goes together, even after reading the instructions. I'm a college graduate and can't figure out a simple kids toy without having to resort to taking a Xanax to calm down! Plus the cardboard insert of flower decorations was already crushed and destroyed once I did open it and I'm very confused by all the different scenes. Maybe I'm just too old to understand but I don't know how a kid could put all this together and open it up and understand what the heck is going on with it.

So cool! My daughter was so excited when she opened this up on Christmas morning!!! Doll is exactly as pictured! I know my husband had a hard time unpackaging the set but I do t see that as an issue. That makes me feel good because I know it’s going to be intact. So far so good! She loves it!!!

While the Playset itself is rather large, the doll itself more than makes up for the large extra. Briar is just as if not more stunning than her fancier peers. Briar's makeup features pink and lavender eyeshadow with light pink lipstick. Like the other thronecoming releases she has tinsel in her hair, a wonderful blend of purple and pink. Her dress is not as elaborate as the other releases (Cupid, Blondie, Apple and Raven) on account of being packaged with a playset but she's honestly worth it. She also comes with a stand.

This could have been built soooo much better. It's built very cheap... lots of cardboard inserts. The bed is super skinny and low low to the ground., even with the little legs out. the mirror is hardly reflective and I don't think the dolls fit well with the backgrounds. The doll was the only thing here, that someone might want. The idea is good, but could have been constructed so much better. I expected so much more for $50.00

Ever After High is by the same creators as Monster High (Mattel) and whilst not as big over here in the UK as in the USA or as big in the UK as Monster High it does seem to be gaining momentum and becoming increasingly popular. Like Monster High there are webisodes and I have seen an awful lot of them both with my nieces who are Ever After and Monster High mad and if I'm honest I've watched a few by myself too as I really quite enjoy them now. The theme tune is extremely catchy so beware if you haven't seen any yet as you'll be humming it for days! Ever After High is a boarding school where the children of fairytale and fantasy story characters are sent to follow their parents footsteps and embrace the same destiny. The thought is that if they don't then their stories will cease to exist and so will they, however not all of the students are happy with their destiny's. Raven Queen (daughter of the Evil Queen) is one of the students who is not happy with her destiny and has vowed to change her future whilst Apple White (daughter of Snow White) is more than happy to follow her destiny. So the school has been split with those that wish to embrace their future - Royals and those that don't - Rebels. This play set has been made to go alongside the Thronecoming Ever After High dolls although the set can be played with alongside any of the dolls in reality. The set is in the shape of a large story book and folds back away into the book when not in use along with all of the accessories that come with it. The included Briar Beauty doll also slips inside the spine part of the book which also holds her very big bed. The set has been beautifully made and you can see that a lot of thought has gone into it and how best to ensure all the parts can be packed away and kept safe when not in use. The bed for example has a removable bottom section underneath where you can fit all the little accessories and then re-cover them over with the bed piece to keep them safe and the beds legs also fold up and down for storage. This is definitely one of the best play sets I have bought and I have bought an awful lot over the last few years alone for my son, nieces and nephews. I managed to get the set on offer at just above half it's price and I would say that it was very good value for money even at £10 more than that. The book when closed and all of the parts inside measures just over 30cm wide by 33cm high and 10cm deep. When opened out at just Briar's bedroom it measures 52cm wide and if including the gates it then extends to 67cm wide. When opened out using both of the rooms (Briar's Bedroom and the Thronecoming Dance Room) with the gates in the middle separating the two rooms it measures 62cm wide with the middle door part and walls coming out to 37cm from the wall where the mirror is. The top balcony part measures 14cm by 20.5cm. There is also a back outside decal piece under the balcony. The detail on all of the design and accessories is brilliant with rose patterns on the bed and brick patterns on the wall where the mirror is and wooden floorboard effects on the middle floor part and balcony. The set comes with lots of small accessories such as:- Staircase and Steps (comes as separate pieces you need to put together) Bed with storage compartment underneath and fold out legs Table Chair with the option of short or high back and the high back doubles as a headboard for the bed Chandelier Cake on plate Cupcake on plate Two cups One hand mirror Doll stand EAH padlock Coathanger Briar Beauty Masquerade Mask Mirror piece that flips to become a bookmark The Briar Beauty Legacy Day doll stands at around 26.5cm tall (this seems to be normal approx height for the Ever After High Dolls). She is as usual with the Ever After High dolls, beautifully made and in her Thronecoming dress which is pink with black thorn detail across the skirt and a small pink tulle piece at the top of the skirt of the dress. She has a silver rose and black thorn chest piece and little silver roses above her painted on black gloves. Her hair is brown with pink and purple streaks which also has glitter parts throughout and she has little pink rocking horse style earrings. Her makeup and eye details is gorgeously done and she has a little pink star under one eye. Her masquerade mask has a long handle with hook for her to hol and covers half her face when on with a unicorn horn in the middle. Her shoes are gorgeous (I still can't believe that there is no shoe company that has picked up on the EAH and MH shoes and hasn't started to make them for us adults as the first thing all the mums on EAH and MH children look at on the dolls are the shoes!) and if they were available in real person size I would definitely be buying a pair! They are black high heel sandals with a rose and thorn detailing around the ankle. Her arms, legs, elbows and wrists are jointed and so poseable and her clothes and accessories come off if required for any clothes changes. Briar Beauty is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and is not looking forward to her own century long sleep. She is a bit of an adrenaline junkie because she knows she is fated to sleep for so long and wants to make the most of her time before that happens although as the daughter of Sleeping Beauty she can't stop herself from falling asleep several times a day! Another really excellent high quality Ever After High doll and an absolutely fantastic set which has been very beautifully and cleverly designed and made. All of the Ever After High dolls I have purchased and have (Ashlynn Ella & Hunter Huntsman, Raven Queen, Briar Beauty, Cedar Wood, Kitty Cheshire, Duchess Swan and Cerise Hood) for when my nieces come and stay are beautifully made and of a very high quality and this set and doll is no exception. I would definitely recommend this set and say that it has been one of my best EAH purchases yet and if you or your child are a fan of Ever After High then this will make a gorgeous addition to the collection and not disappoint.

questa ambientazione per le bambole ever after high è meravigliosa , molto ben rifinita , ricca di dettagli e completa di molti acessori(che stanno perfettamente all'interno una volta chiuso bambola compresa) la sua forma quando si chiude, è un libro e può stare tranquillamente su una mensola e fa la sua bella figura . è un po' costoso , ma su amazon ho trovato il prezzo più basso e il migliore cosi ho potuto risparmiare !grazie

Ma nièce était super heureuse de son cadeau! Sa petite cousine était tout aussi heureuse de pouvoir jouer avec elle.
